A fantastic game that pushes survival to its limit.

Warning, it is legitimately depressing.

All odds are agaisnt you, every single need needs to be balanced or you will die.
Even terrible mental health will cause you to self harm.

The less you know about it, the better.

Early Access Review
Road to Vostok is a very welcome entry in an underexploited genre; Solo extraction shooters.

Pros:
- Gunplay is very solid, reinforced by some weapons requiring extra input to be used effectively.
- Graphics looks great
- Atmosphere and ambience is definitely there
- Good amounts of survival mechanics and status effect, without being bloated
- On the bug front, a very clean first release, rare for Early Access.

Cons:
- Combat is too unforgiving atm;
> Meds are too rare and most wounds can cause a 'bleed' effect (health ticking down over time)
> Scavs rush you and full auto, despite having half broken guns with only a couple bullets.
This stuff forces you to play too carefully and stick very close to your safehouse, as a single bullet can mean a slow and painful death, making you lose everything.

- Loot overall feels like it needs to be rebalanced;
> You can find a thousand books and tons of guns, but ammo/mags are rare, and very basic items like sticks and rags are surprisingly super rare, making crafting improvised meds near impossible.

- The quest system is a long list of fetch quests, sometimes requiring a LOT of items for you to bring in one go.
> Could be mitigated if you could deliver items one at a time.

Overall, Road to Vostok is a very competent entry in the genre, that just needs to tweak numbers to be great.

As an avid zombie media enjoyer I did not expect this VN to surprise me or even be that good.
I was glad to be proven wrong.

While the intial setting and set up is fairly bland, the game still manages to stand out in an oversaturated genre.
The writing is very good, dialogues feel natural and no drama feels unfounded or out of place,
(Looking at you TLOU2 and The Walking Dead TV series)

One of these, the less you know about it, the better, kind of story/games.
I'd recommend it to any zombie media fans.

On par with the best Telltale games out there.
The less you know about it, the better,

I held off initially as I don't enjoy superhero games, usually, but the biggest praise I can give this game is that I played it for 8 hours straight after trying out the demo, finishing it in one go.

It is fantastic.

This game is fantastic and I struggle to find words to say it.
Attempting to describe it would be a disservice, as it's one of these games that's made better by not knowing ANYTHING about it.

It's extremely well-written, weird and full of twists.
Well done.

Disclaimer; At the time of this review, my experience is mostly based on early-game, through playing around a total of 20-30h in the demo/playtests. I already see some very good improvements in the full version.
I wanted to give this game the praise it deserves as early as I could. I will come back to edit this review, if need be, as I progress through the game.

Pros:
- Faithful Stalker-like experience;
> Explore and discover a twisted soviet world, fight mutants and bandits, learn and dodge anomalies, use artifacts...
- In depth base customisation;
> Bring back furniture, appliances, use generators and windmills to power everything with wires...
- Great atmosphere/immersion.
- Randomised maps.
- Very low price tag for a game of this caliber.

Cons:
- Over time, you will start to notice all the map parts repeating. I'm hoping that we'll get more variants as time goes on.
- Some deaths might directly/undirectly cause you to permanently lose gear, setting you back a lot.
- Solo play (at least) could use the ability to pause the game without having to save and go back to the main menu.

Finally MISERY achieves what STALKER fans have been wanting for a long time, a STALKER experience in co-op. And it is great.

Should have been a Sniper Elite 5 DLC.
Instead they are trying to sell you the same game again.

Early Access Review
"Savior, Hero? No, no, I'm with the Science Team!"

Pros:
- Choose your playstyle, from Brawler to Builder, Crafter to Cook and more, you're bound to find something that you enjoy.
> Specialise in co-op, or try a little bit of everything by yourself!
- Unrestricted base building, create your cosiest nerd cave anywhere. Even on an alien island if you'd like!
- Progress in a huge main map where you unlock shortcuts and portals to other places
- Chock-full of content even in Early Access.
- Great atmosphere across all different worlds
- Fun universe that borrows from some of the best, Half-Life of course, but also SCP?
- Solid amount of Quality of Life.
- So much love went into this game, it's hard to put into words, but it's so charming.

Cons:
- Crafting and unlocking recipes can be a little convoluted at times.
- While you can definitely play solo, the game is thought-out to be multiplayer and it shows at times.

In a saturated genre devoid of passion, the pure charm of Abiotic Factor is a breath of fresh air.
Take notes, survival games, THIS is how you do it.

Shape up and load up, there's Crows to kill.

Pros :
- Simple yet very good gameplay loop.
> Survive, kill, die, upgrade and repeat.
- Multitude of options to unlock to tailor your loadout.
- Mutators keep the game fresh for way longer.
- Even bosses die in one direct shot, no one lives forever here.
- The sound design is great.
> Good music, guns are snappy and enemies all have different sound cues, louder for more important foes.
- Great pixel art
- Great atmosphere

Cons :
- As expected of the genre, the game is very tense and challenging.
- Pretty short playtime

While overall pretty simple, Kill The Crows is very well made.
A great reminder that games don't have to be long and fancy to be great.
For this price, I'll happily spend the few bucks and let the shootout begin!

Early Access Review
Not ready for an Early Access release yet, especially at this price.

- Server issues and lag
- Lackluster and floaty combat
- Enemies feel too tanky and respawn real fast.
- Invisible walls and small similar issues with the map
- Boring loot

It needs more time, a lot more time in the oven
