i dont think mw2 is the best game in the franchise. The campaign is really solid, even tho it has some annoying moments in veteran, like the favela levels or the safe house from loose ends.
Spec ops was the most frustrating. Like all old cods, the PC port is absolute garbage so there's no lan or splitscreen coop, only solo and online play. No remote play together, of course. So you are locked out of a few spec ops achievements unless you buy a friend the game, which isnt that easy because this game is still hella expensive for a 10yo game.
Though only two missions are coop exclusive, most of the veteran versions feel impossible in solo. Juggernauts have to be the most annoying enemy in the entire game and devs just paste them into every veteran difficulty they can find. The Echo set of missions is simply ridiculous.

Then there's the multiplayer. Its an instant classic? yeah. It has some pretty obvious balancing issues that never got fixed, the dlc's split the playerbase, there's no crossplay and the matchmaking is just awful. No dedicated servers, bad anticheat, etc etc.
and without dedicated servers, that also means the maps are totally random. and some maps are absolute bangers, but most are trash. like, hot garbage.

recomended? yeah, i guess, but dont expect a lot from it.

to complement the rest of the reviews, many bosses are in my opinion really gimmicky and dont do justice to the rest of the game. they coulda have been done better. the rest of the game is really good tho, having to pull up a guide every now and then isnt a dealbreaker.

i was just about to buy rocket league when daddy tim and tencent decided to poop money in psyonix's face so now im stuck with this bcs i really wanted to play a multiplayer soccer game.

it would be totally worth it if i actually enjoyed the zombies mode. sadly, i think its the most boring and overrated thing cod has. Now, the game still has a campaign and a multiplayer.
In terms of a good campaign, there isnt one. Its supposed to be replayable in coop and sh1t but its so poorly written and pretentious with the entire bci thing that i simply completed it bcs it was too late for me to refud.
the multiplayer might be the only thing that isnt absolute dogsh1t in this game, but the players decided that nah they didnt feel like having fun so they started cheating and not playing other gamemodes aside from tdm and sometimes domination. Not to mention the people using shotguns and annoying operator skills that dont fit the gameplay loop. Look, i enjoy being dominated by a stronger individual. Thats not my issue here. The thing is half of the game's content is locked behind the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lootboxes and to open the lootboxes you either need to spend money or grind daily tasks that are now impossible bcs no one plays those obscure gamemodes like ffa or snd (i know, really nice stuff) anymore. So not only i have to play against the sweatiest mfs in any cod and cheaters but also i can only use a stock kn44 with fast mags.

so, is it worth it? if you play zombies, yes. if you dont, your probably better with the other cods that at least arent even worth cheating in.

its a good game. there isnt a lot to do in the sense of gameplay and the ending left me with mixed feelings but id recommend it on sale.

its alright. i wouldnt say its "relaxing" and it gets repetitive after a while, but for the price its worth it.
