Days Gone seemed to slip under the radar when it was first released. Now with it's port to PC it seems to be having a well-deserved resurgence.

If you love open-world, post-apocalyptic games then Days Gone is for you.

The story starts with the usual cliche zombie tropes but then becomes more engaging as the game goes on. I enjoyed the main story line of Deacon searching for what happened to his wife Sarah, while trying to look after his mate Boozer and other allies he meets along the way.

The game-world looks nice and is very immersive. The sound-track and voice acting is also very well put together. It's designed to get the adrenaline pumping and the sound of a snapping wolf or snarling zombie can shock you into action.

There is plenty to do throughout the game. Some of the open-world style tasks can be repetitive and it's not always clear which ones are required for just the main story line if you want to fast-track your game. Difficulty ramps up towards the end but make sure you pick one of the harder game modes if you like a challenge. Taking down an entire horde of zombies can be pretty intense!

Highly recommend if you're into these types of open-world games.
