Half Life 2 - a major jump for game design when it dropped. Characters could emote without looking silly now, and you didn't just have to shoot all the things, or find the red gem for the red gem hole - there were physics-based puzzles now! You could blow stuff up and things would be a appropriately chaotic and random. We still love it, even though valve is setting the universal record for "time it takes learning how to count to three". All that, and it still looks good and is fun to play 20 years later.

addictive as hell once you get into it. Why is the sun there? What happened to nighttime?

Wow this game has come a long way. It's amazing solo, exploring and building - but with friends it becomes a great method of hanging out when you are not able to get together easily. Looking forward to attempting a group build of a great city!

Loved playing through this, I stuck around finding collectables for a whole day or two after finishing the game because I just didn't want to leave. The action and gameplay are top notch, as are the graphics, but what sets W2:TNC apart for me was the story and worldbuilding. There were so many over-the-top surprise moments, I won't ruin any of them for you - some decidedly NSFW laughs are in store. The supporting characters are great, there's ups and downs but it all comes with a great feeling of comeraderie. Plus, taking out hordes of Nazis is very cathartic nowadays, I'd recommend it!

If you're a fan of sci-fi action built around an interesting story you'll really enjoy Prey 2017. Had ideas about what was coming towards the end but wasn't really sure, it did keep me guessing. The ending(s) come in a similar way as those from fallout, your actions having consequences etc, it would have been cool to have a bit more epilogue IMO but really I just didn't want the adventure to end. Worth more than the summer sale price I paid for it, for damn sure.

Engare is a really special piece of software. It's both a game and a kind of drawing tool. I showed it to a more logic-oriented friend of mine and he asked me, famously avoidant of it, if I knew I was doing a kind of math. It hadn't occurred to me, but that knowledge didn't blunt my enjoyment of the puzzles one bit. The music is also fun, the middle-eastern vibe gets additions of Katamari Damacy-like nanana that you find yourself humming or na na naing along with. If you're seeing it and wondering if you should pick it up, you should. If all you like is FPS and things like that, probably best you pass.

I can't get past turn 156 before the game bugs out and won't progress to the next turn, or even let me perform most game actions. I really like the game but it's unplayable as-is. Requested a refund.

I've never experienced such janitorial zen. I wish we could get a tv series lol

Every six to eight months I forget why I stopped playing this and it only takes a couple days to remember. Obvious botting in nearly every server, a community that combines the traditional toxic masculinity bros with ancient know-it-alls, add authoritarian MOTDs longer than War and Peace and DoD:S is a game you'll also want to quickly forget.
