Sadly, the game is dead. There are no online matches going on. Whatever happened, I am disappointed in the trajectory of this game. I'm not sure about console popularity, though. I just don't want to buy dlc only to be stuck playing a dysfunctional Multiverse mode. As for the gameplay itself, some of the combos were retained, such as animations and character-specific moves. The gear customization must have been the smoking gun. Either it was too little or something, I dunno. As long as you're ok just playing against friends in versus matches, then sure. But online is a lost cause.

I don't typically like zombie games, but the weapon customization makes it tolerable for me, I guess. The parkour also helps. I haven't done the multiplayer yet; should probably try that....

The only peculiarity that vexes me about this game is the pellet gun effect on the enemy AI.
The other peculiarities that don't vex me are the endless pickups for your character's wardrobe. For something that only matters in Survival mode, there sure are alot of options for the Division agent dress code.

If you like a FPS with some personality, then by all means, go go go go GO! Grinding for renown so you don't need microtransactions to unlock operators will take forever, so git gud while you earn your way to the next character. There's quite a few maps to memorize and learn their advantages. Even after doing that, adapting to the various styles of each operator offensively and defensively can still keep you guessing. The limit is the imagination of the player. Just when you think you've seen everything. . .

If you don't mind being attacked by random online players, then this game is less likely to make you rage quit. Otherwise, story mode will have to do.

If you're not constantly finding something to do, the game will get boring despite its availability of activities to partake. Grinding for enough money to purchase something fun to use takes forever, though, so there's that. I don't believe in shark cards. They'll bite your wallet off with your butt so you can't sit anymore to play.
