I do like the game a lot. if everhood 1 is a 10, everhood is like a 8.5. So it's still good, just in the shadow of its older brother.

Story wise I do like it, minus the ending. Curiously, this game only has one ending that we know of. Whereas everhood 1 has around 5 . I can't say that definitively because nobody knows all of the secrets yet. and one I found HINTS at an alternative ending, but I have no clue how to get there yet. The main ending of the story knocks all the wind out of the sails though.

gameplay wise it's incredibly fun and much improved for combat over EH1. Unfortunately, there is no passive option like there is in EH1 and a lot of the combats are recycled. Whereas in EH 1, each combat is a unique encounter with a varied NPC and an entire long song to survive through, most combats in EH2 which aren't bosses are these filler enemies with a few bars of music that loops over and over. I do not like those. They suck.

Overall 8.5. Not as good as EH1 but still fun

They changed it from the demo. Necrodancer now says "That's power!" instead of "Whaaat power!!!"

Game is really fun but the two best gundams in the game are 10 dollars. 50/50 on this one.

I can barely run this game with the graphics all the way down on my 1080 and i9 9700. I am absolutely blown away by how bad this is, to where I can barely play the game when the plants appear two feet in front of my face and every object is 10 pixel blobs, covered in sketchy flickering anti aliasing lines. The dev team has somehow pulled off a miracle of computer engineering to create the worst looking game that could possibly run this badly. Absolutely unbelievable.

Seriously. Graphics all the way down, all the bells and whistles disabled. And I can barely bloody run the thing. Christ. Avoid this unless you have a super computer. If you think it will run, it won't.

If you saw "minimum required 1060" and thought you'd give it a try, it'll rest in the 30's with you being unable to see anything besides the pixellated floor that looks so bad you could count each individual pixel. Needs a complete performance pass before the general audience should be able to play it.

Eventually it becomes less scary and more game-like, but for a while there's something pretty scary about it. The new update (As of halloween 2021) added a lot of fantastic things and I recommend it.
