Unfinished but already a great game.

Ruined by a save-game insta-death loop. Please fix so I can finish the game and update this review. Until then, I can't recommend it.

Otherwise a solid game. What it does well is give you a great world to play zombie survival in. The story is ok and directs you through the world and the mechanics well enough - which you have to follow to open up new areas of the map - it can be a bit of a slow burn at times but is worth sticking with.
Playing on hardcore mode means you'll have to be resourceful and plan ahead or get wrecked. Even well prepared, the game will throw curve balls at you which creates a tension and some heart pounding moments.
if there's a sequel, I'd like to see more ways to interact with the world, player choices, improved AI group interaction, resource economy and more variety in ammo, weapon mods, vehicles and "random" events.

Simple, fun and quite polished. The UI progression animations could be a bit snappier, or fast-forwardable.

It's a good game but has the most confusing content structure imaginable. What the actual double ♥♥♥♥ were they thinking!?

Wait for a sale and get the *Standard Edition Bundle* which appears to include the Expansion pass, just like the Gold Edition but costs less. Then, if you *havn't* already got Hitman (2016) buy the Legacy Pack so you can actually play the whole campaign. This should give you all the content, as far as I can tell.

Like the first game this one isn't without a few bugs and flaws but it is bloody brilliant nonetheless.
