I personally prefer this over Songs of Conquest (I think that's the name?), but the devs are very friendly with each other so I am sure they dont mind. They just did a crossover, after all.

As for the game itself... there's nigh-on endless content here. And all of it is good.

Still the best Deckbuilder on the market.

Came for it being "PC Bloodborne". Stayed because it was good. Recommending it now because it is so much more.

At the time of writing this, I have achieved the true ending and completed most NPC questlines in a single playthrough. The world is intuitive and the systems are so incredibly user-friendly! I did not need to look up anything outside of very hyper-specific instances unique to my playthrough. There is a system in place that shows you what areas of the map an NPC you have already met is in, or wants to talk to you at. No more "This NPC travels to a really hidden area at a hyper-specific, easily missable moment, good luck finding them lol" moments like in the actual From Soft titles sometimes! Things like that, and many more things I want you as the reader to find out for yourself as you play the game, are why I am recommending the game.

However, I want to adress the Bloodborne comparison. Sadly, I haven't been able to play that game yet, but from all I have seen and heard of it, this game is not very much like it outside of a first glance and a bit of setting and theme. It plays a lot more like something in between Sekiro and the mainline Souls games, yet it still has a unique feel and the enemy design allows them to get really creative with attack patterns. Perfect Parrying is a MASSIVE mechanic that I wish they went into more detail on during the tutorial section. Don't try to play this game without it!

The only major downside I can think of is that while the weapon variety is excellent even if you weren't able to swap out the weapon blades and handles, it also didn't feel like I needed to experiment with the arsenal much. I quickly settled on putting the highest-damaging blade on the handle with the highest Technical scaling, and then switched to my final weapon, which was a "Special" uncustomizable one, and it worked solidly throughout the entire game. That being said, my gear never felt under or overpowered, though the mid-point of the game felt a bit easy, especially the bosses. I fist-tried many of the rather impressive roster!

Still had fun the whole way, and a lot of it at that, and that doesn't even speak about the phenomenal story! It is definitely the best non-From-Soft Soulslike I have played... ever, and I couldn't recommend it more. Honestly? You could've told me this was made by the OGs of the genre, and I might only get thrown off by a lack of references to their IPs.

Early Access Review
As to be expected from a f2p game. P2W cash store, grinding, mediocre quality. But hey this might tie you over until Armored Core. Don't play it if you hate Ai Art tho, it's very obviously used here. Gameplay itself is fine.

Also, be aware, something I do not think they advertise anywhere until you download the game: This is more of an Alpha than it is an Early Access build. It is limited in how far you can progress and what you can do, containing only 6 missions and 1 open area, with a level cap of 25.

I encountered no major bugs.

While I haven't played this game for very long yet on paper, I can already say it's a faithful mod. Art is so good it'd be nearly identical to official Redhook art... if it wasn't for a nice and healthy dose of horny. Artist is famous for working on "adult" games if you catch my drift, if you're allergic to some eroticism don't play this.

Gameplay is great, the changes are sensible and good, but the difficulty is through the roof. I'd consider myself very good at Darkest Dungeon 1, and I am getting ABSOLUTELY obliterated already.

This really is the sequel this game deserved. I find Darkest Dungeon 2 highly mid at about a 6/10... so far this mod is a solid 9/10!

It's not great to be honest. I have nostalgia for it, played it a lot when it was standalone. It's janky, user hostile, instransparent... but if you like the idea of a god-brawl maybe check it out. It is free. But lower your expectations to the floor.

It is indeed one of the games of all time.

My favorite rimworld moment was when a thing happened.

I wish they would add.

The game is.

Just a great puzzle game with plenty of challenging puzzles to tease your brain with.
