Nice surprise of a hidden game. highly recommend and if you can, get a friend how know this game, my friend help a a lot when i die/ lacked behind xD. best to wait on sale. 20 dollars too much as base price.

Nice game with great art style, story and message. not a long game, but enjoying one. never played before and only heard it was good. it was worth it. i played on hardest and was manage it ok (no hud so can be annoying, but at the same time a more survival experience that fits). only thing i can say is bad was picking up weapons you need to hold e for some time, otherwise. highly recommend on a sale as always. Would like to play the original one day. no longer on steam for some reason.

Short Answer: not worth it if you already play original. 40 Dollar for a game where basically only graphics that been improved.

Long answer: Got this game as a Birthday present and had played the original so i wanted to play this to see the difference.

WARNING SPOILERS! if you dont care, go ahead.

Pros:
You can skip driving to missions in settings (a lot of driving in this game)
Motorcycles added to the game
Radio Stations with overall good performance

Neutral:
Overall graphics is good, but lost the feeling of the original imo and felt more like a game with mafia paint over it then a improvement to the feeling.
Dead corpses of enemies and you did get stuck in weird positions that was funny, but also could break immersion
this game have better historical gun sounds compare to original, but in original like pistol sounded so cool. 50/50 on that one
Gunplay is mix. it aims to be more realistic so m1911 colt is more accurate than Thompson 1928m and affect other guns. So most weapons have a role they are good at, but why it is a mix you will see in cons.
Your bots health are unlimited so no need to defend them. good in as in you don't lose because of them, but takes away the feeling for protecting your friends in crime.

Cons:
Not a fan of the changes when i comes to main story, Its felt a bit weaker with characters like Sam, Dons Voice not as good in Original, some changes to Tommy with his moral and some of the plot.

The changes to the Missions were a downgrade imo. Explosive barrel is very common and felt more like a modern shooter with explosive barrels than a mafia game than the original was.

Melee was not great in original as it was clunky. but here is like they tried to do batman fighting were you dodge hits with one button and once you beat a enemy enough, you do a finisher that is not smooth and felt like they cut in as a afterthought.

Even when i played on classical (hardest), it was way too easy. you had got health back to 20%, not as many enemies as in original, and not as accurate. Example where this combines is in last mission. in original i sat for like 3-4 hours if not more to complete and in remake like max 1 hour as Sam (final boss), need a full mag for a Thompson to defeat and in remake 2-5 shots.

In original Free mode was barebones except for some funny mission and they added nothing new here even when they could since this is a remake and not a remastered.

Is unpolished as render distant on object are pretty bad, sound don't play in cutscenes so you have to restart mission to have sound, had a random person in background just walking/coming through the wall.

40 Dollars as base price is a scam. can buy better games like Helldiver 2, Peak, Repo or other games with the worth of 40 dollars.

Overall: I recommend playing Mafia 2002 version on steam with 10 Dollars price. Felt like Remake selling point was its graphics and not much more. Sad as i like history and for me this was missed chance to expand the mafia world in Lost Heavens.

was watching Pewdiepie play this when i was like 15 and damn was it fun to see. now when i have played myself.. wow. Really good game. good story, the immersion is so damn good and art style. I'm not a person who not overall interested in horror theme, but this one got me hooked.

Saw that there is Workshop for this game so might try them out in the future and update.

overall: great game i recommend.

the tutorial was not that helpful, controls of your minions is messy and overall not fun. A game not for me. did see on someone's review on the game that you can get it for free as the developer did released it there so i leave a negative mainly for that reason. don't buy on steam, get for free.

great game for its time. not worth getting for pve/singleplayer. optimisation is really bad and does not run well on modern pcs. did not try multiplayer so not sure how many still play this. player count on steam is around 35 so not worth multiplayer either if you ask me.

nice game, decent story, interesting alien enemies (Koreans was bland, but not primary enemy). Graphics is nice, amazing since it came out 2007. loves the physics and how some of the environments can be destroy like houses and trees. caught/shocked me by surprised with the ending. so much my friend died of laughter. overall good game.

simple survival game. some nice lore if you like that. did play with friends and helped me speed in progress, but takes around 60 hours. compare to other survival games, its not good. ai is dumb, some of the bosses are easy, base building is ok (i thought you could only build on certain area, but you can build everywhere) and crafting is nothing special, but on its own its ok. best buy when it is on sale and not full price.

great game for those who want realistic historical medieval game. Story is decent with nice characters, but it is the world itself that shows how the medieval life was and the combat system (dont like the lock camera in combat, but still) that makes it feel alive. it have many cons.. if you play hardcore, you have no fast travel and will not show where you are on the map so you will travel like 50% if not more of the time depending how good navigator you are, map feels too big for its own good (lots of area with no activity) and some of the dlc are not worth buying. overall good game for being the first game Warhorse Studios have made. hope for the best with KCD 2.
