I don't review games on Steam as a general rule, but I'm on a tram and have been playing the game a lot since its release and have many thoughts :)

It is a wonderfully beautiful game, there is no doubt about that, the levels of detail and satisfying zoom levels make it majestic to view the zoo you have worked so hard to build.

And you will!

To create something unique and yours is an exercise in patience to say the least. There is so much on offer and so many good ideas, however, based on that is what makes it so irritating that so many options are glaringly overlooked or altogether absent. It took me no less than 6 hours to craft my beautiful underground reptile house exhibit. I mean, sure... I placed every rock, plank, letter, light and effect by hand, which it wonderfully allows you to do, but it should not take that long. The lack of clearer and easier to use movement, rotation and snapping tools, scaling for simple objects and an excruciating path system are just some of the reasons why!

Defining your habitats can be a little obtuse
Too much focus on micro-managing staff instead of your animals
Too many options/additions that have no bearing on the park rating, beauty or visitor satisfaction when it most definitely should
Modifying habitats or splitting them up after inserting animals can be a headache
Tools for best knowing which animals can be in a single habitat together appear to be non-existent
Not really knowing where is best for guests to view an exhibit before building a viewing area
How can I make an open safari style zoo?

But, like I say... Complaints aside, it's really a wonderful experience that just needs some love and attention to fix some clearly mis-implemented or to add blatantly missing features.

Have fun!
