Abandonment: If a player abandons (disconnects and does not return), the team receives a $1000 "short-handed" income bonus starting 2-3 rounds after the player leaves.

Kicking: If you vote to kick a teammate, the team does not receive the bonus money, as the game considers it a voluntary removal, not a disadvantageous abandonment.
