Crab Rave spinoff roguelike made by Noisestorm himself.

One of those bullet hell roguelikes where you get swarmed by waves of mobs. it stands out by having alot more being thrown at you at once with no time constraints and breaks inbetween waves, so the pacing of each run feels good.

As of Nov 2025 its still in developement, and its needs more variety in some places, like biomes and enemies, but its getting there and the devs pretty active. Certain weapons could do with changes that set them apart from eachother (e.g. the auto rifle and minigun feel like the same gun with different fire rate and clip, compared to something like the flamethrower). Mods are pretty fun, like +damage but your bullets move in weird patterns, and with a good build you get that game breaking feeling that you love in other roguelikes, but mods could synergise better with eachother (e.g. mods that spawn daggers could also inhereit melee mods).

There is still alot here to get really excited about, and the dev cares alot about the game and making it fun for all kinds of players, so things that aren't fun usually don't stay that way. And its noisestorm, so of course the music is great too.

I ONLY RECOMMEND NOT GETTING THIS GAME DUE TO HIGH PING IN CERTAIN COUNTRIES. I live in NZ, and the AUS servers give me a constant 81 ping, which makes it difficult to do anything. i would still say get this game, its free, and a refreshing take on the MOBA genre, but if you live in NZ, wait till they do something

Edit: they fixed it :D I CAN FINALLY PLAY AND BY GOD IS IT FUN. if you have played any sort of moba (league, dota, or even smite) then you will like this game, but instead of boring periods of farming or laning, its constant team fighting / skirmishes. you have no reason to not play it. its free. try it. you will like it.

Very grindy game early, the mastery system (your overall level) locks you out of alot of fun looking weapons until you rank up. To rank up you need to level up your weapons and frames, which contribute to mastery xp. you will mostly be going through all your planets very slowly doing each junctions (like a checkpoint between planets) quests and trying to figure out where to find resources to build your frames and weapons. If you are impatient this game might not be for you, as weapons usually take 12 hours to build and warframes 3 days. If you know someone who plays this game, ask for their help. Their is a referal system for new players, and having an experienced friend help can really accelerate your early game. Also no one plays this games pvp, so if your looking for that go play destiny 2.

if you can get past this the game starts becoming more fun.

the premium currency, platinum, can be traded for, mostly by selling prime parts from relics.
you can start buying more slots for frames and weapons, and exploring the vast array of weapons and frames in this game. not only the weapons, but the load of content in this free to play game from a once desperate company is mind boggling. The story line really gets going after you unlock all your planets, and is still yet to reach its big climax. On top of all that the fact that this game is free still surprises me, and that you can get by without having to spend a cent on it.

The commmunity of this game are unusually friendly for a free to play game, probably because of the lack of pvp stuff but who really knows. You will find yourself forming rag tag crews for a couple of games because your farming the same things, and help in this game goes a long way. DE really love their community, almost as much as their love for the game. These people really know how to make a fun game for their community and keep providing for them.

Lastly, their are issues with this game, don't get me wrong. I remember when i couldn't progress because of a glitched boss(the raptor glitch), but they fixed it eventually and i found myself happily surprised that devs exist that don't just leave their games to die. I was actually happy to return to this game and continue. Play this game, try it out, if you can get through all your planets without getting too down you will really enjoy this game.

this is one of those really rare games that NEVER, under no circumstances, get old, because every new run is completely different than the last, and provides new ways to play the game. one game you'll be setting everything on fire with tears and bombs combinded, another game you will stumble upon hidden secrets and unlock new challenges and characters, and others you'll be dying from spiderses and your own bombs that spawn when you touch said spiderses. if you like rogue-like games, than this is THE BEST one out there.

I first heard of this game through Yogscast Sips when the game was still in beta (i think) and i would spend hours watching his playthroughs. two years later i finally got the game and found out about a new dlc so i brought the mega bundle and wasnt disapointed. i would recommend this game to all people, and if your not sure just watch his vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGalhFRzFm4
