Hello, my dearest reader;

While it is clear that the developers are working hard to improve the experience, the current state of the game feels narrow. Despite the map's size, the gameplay loop often boils down to managing just three resources: population, lumber, and iron. Beyond this, several critical issues—ranging from game-breaking bugs to fundamental balance flaws—make many regions essentially unplayable.
The Horde Crisis

I cannot stress enough how broken the horde mechanics are in the current build.

The 1.1 Economic Death Spiral: The economic situation has worsened significantly since 1.0. Unless you control a massive urban center (like Timur), maintaining a positive income is impossible. You start with 500–2000 ducats that vanish instantly because you are forced to maintain a massive standing army (costing 20–50 ducats monthly) that the game will not let you disband.

Succession Failures: The Horde Civil War is riddled with bugs. It is common to get stuck in a permanent war without an heir or Khan, saddling your nation with permanent maluses and spiraling inflation that leads to inevitable bankruptcy. Surviving this currently requires "gamey" exploits—like "suiciding" your own troops—rather than strategic play.

Regional Imbalance & "The Timurid Problem"

Persia & Central Asia: If you aren't playing as the Timurids, you shouldn't bother playing in the region. Playing as Chagatai or any Iranian minor is a lesson in futility; the Timurids will simply stomp you into the dirt.

The East: The Jurchen tribes face an impossible wall. No matter who unifies China, it is currently impossible to conquer them as the Jurchens. Meanwhile, Dai Viet and the Khmer have been tuned to be inexplicably more powerful than almost any other nation in the world.

Broken Military & Religious Systems

Levy Limits: The problem isn't "Infamy"—it’s the way levies work. Powerful AI nations like Bohemia or Naples can ignore coalitions entirely because they can field overwhelming numbers while the player is trapped by rigid levy limits. If a large neighbor decides to conquer you, there is no mechanical way to survive.

Religious Depth: Most religions feel like placeholders. Only Christianity, Islam, and Jainism have unique depth; the rest feel like standard, "flavorless" skins that don't impact the game.

Conclusion
The core idea of Project Caesar remains great, but the 1.1 patch has introduced a wood-and-iron bottleneck that has seized the global economy. There is still a vast amount of work to be done before this is a balanced experience for anyone but "pro" YouTubers.

Great addition to 4x strategies. Plays completely differently from Stellaris, is more "realistic".
Game has its flaws - gameplay loop becomes very similiar when you understand how game works, it has set path of early to end game challenges and some issues with controls but this is great addition to 4x stratagy genre and if you like 4x games it will make you spend hours in it.

Something is wrong with this one - buttons are completely off and some is unpushable. Seems that actualy place and visual place of any UI detail is off. Cant even start a game.

Game is nice and in many ways art is beautiful. Game seems has saved some ideas from other Dune RTS games.
Overall i mist say, there is not enough depth in game. Idea between ellections, war and influance is great but to be honest i expected more some siege mechanics, building wals and towers and some come back mechanics and so on. AI also sometimes seems doesnt understand what to do with stronger faction near by or what to do with rebels.
I do not suggest this game right now, because i feel that for 30 euros this isnt enough. Yet.

Bugs is everywhere. From simple unexplained crashes on regular iron mode, ruining all save, to some mechanics simply doesnt work. Seems they also messed up with custom nations and some settings, for example pirate republics.
Bugs still exist, dont buy this if you want clean game.

This game is definetly not for everyone. More chill game (if you use save) since ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ there is common. Though i still hope that there will be more expansions and improvements, since some things for me seems annoying, for example, there should be option that when you speak with police men, you can pay bounty yourself (since if you play lone wolf). Also i believe that adding some small quest for bounty with presumable location of the head would be nice

Best grand strategy tbs/rts mix game in market. Constant updates make game better and better with each month. Wide customization options, endless mod options, great multiplayer with friends. Good, loyal company and dev team. Totaly recomend for strategy lovers.

Edit: Over several years devs added a lot of new stuff, strategies and reworked some of old. Recently devs increased team size and now content packs are far more often. I love to see how the game grows.
However, for a new player full game prize seems absurdly high. There also is not subscription for all expansion packs a viable like in some other paradox game.
