Early Access Review
A retro-styled shooter with an identity that is very much its own. Meaty combat, satisfying-to-find secrets, and a hefty sprinkling of some Immersive sim elements makes for a very enjoyable game.

A very solid survival game, with satisfying resource gathering and a combat system that is so far unmatched in its genre. (Though as a fan of Battlerite I may be biased in that regard)

On top of this it's a strong example of Early Access having been done really well, as the game was worth its asking price even when first released, while having been consistently made ever better with updates since.

A nice balance between the immense complexity of Path of Exile, and the complete lack of it in...certain other titles in the genre.

A rocky launch for an otherwise fantastic title that really showed it's promise when online play was first introduced during early access, and has really lived up to that promise with this full release.

Skills are fun and diverse, and for the first time in what feels like so long, I'm actually excited to pick up items thanks to the combination of great gearing and a very solid built-in loot filter.

The two main drawbacks I can see with the game beside the server issues surrounding the launch, is that the graphics can feel a bit dated, and so far the cosmetic MTX all feels a bit out-of-place in terms of their design. Though the former is largely made up for by generally great visual design, and the latter I guess could be seen as a positive as I've felt no pull toward buying any of them, I'm sure the devs would disagree with that being good. :)

Great Vampire Survivors game, and that takes the formula and evolves it in a, to me, far more interesting direction.
One of my main issues with VS was the lack of manually aiming my attacks. This game solves that. :)

A really nice combat-football. It's football where punching your opponent in the face can be just as useful to your team as kicking the ball.

"Just gonna fix this one problem in my production line."
-Me, some 4 hours before finally turning the game off late into the night.

The game that has very nearly ruined VR for me, as most other VR games just don't really compare.

Satisfying movement system and combat, and though the gun play on its own may not quite be on par with that of something like H3VR, when taken as part of the whole package, it still makes for an absolutely fantastic game, and is the one game I show to friends to truly show them the potential of VR.

Amazing game whose only real drawback is relying on having friends locally, as well as means for everyone to play on the same computer. Online co-op would as others say make this a very clear must-have for anyone who likes co-op games, as it stands it was great fun to play through when a bunch of us were limited to only one computer.

Probably not worth a buy if you'd only play it on your own, the most enjoyable thing about the game is in the co-operation with friends.

People will jokingly refer to this as farming simulator, and I will start this review by confirming that. This game is 90% about getting <insert resource name here> so that you can get <newest shiny weapon or warframe>, but damn this game can make that process fun.

It's nice to look at, fun to play with a high pace, and the community is awesome most of the time.

Probably not for anyone who quickly gets bored of doing pretty much the same thing over and over again, but it's free, so you might as well give it a go to see if the gameplay is fun enough for you too look past how repetitive it is...I sure did.

Guide your little triangle through different obstacles for 60 seconds to unlock the next stage, there are 6 stages.
Sounds simple, right? 6 minutes playtime? Pff, not worth the money!

This game is the very embodiment of satisfaction through improvement. Because the stages are so very short, and usually very quickly done with, you can constantly see yourself improve, little by little, and there is NOTHING but yourself to blame.

However this also means that it doesn't really fit everyone, because it requires a LOT of patience to actually finish a stage or two, not to mention the game. Be ready to hear the words "BEGIN" and "GAME OVER" over and over and over and over again.

Oh, and the soundtrack is just amazing.
