Spent 60 hours in a week. It IS that addictive. Very fun game, need more from this franchise. One of the best of it's genre. Tip: the higher the difficulty, the lower the soldiers accuracy is (despite the hit rate showing 80, 90 so on when it's probably 60 or smth) so play on lower difficulty first to understand the game better before upping the difficulty!

Early Access Review
I found this game when i was about to buy another game when steam decided to recommend the game just as i was about to check out my cart. Bought this game instead of the other game and i'm glad i did. I thought this game would be nothing more than a sword making game that doesn't really have much more to it, and i am glad to say they've proven me wrong. While the sword making part is nice with there being a LOT you can do, i think the story deserves the spotlight here. I don't think it's just serviceable, it's great.

It's a text-based story and while reading might seem like a turn off for a lot of people, I promise you, if you give it a chance you'll be surprised with how much you like the story. It's dark, grim and every and every adjective along those lines are applicable to describe this world. People are running from, what seems like, a world ending disaster and they heard about a fort that still stands even when the world seemingly have come to an end. That's where we start in the story. We woke up in the encampment outside of the fort, where we straight up started making swords right after we woke up. You'll learn about the world more as you progress through the story and some chance encounter, and i love the fact that, coupled with the great use of sound effects, this world building is so believable that i can just picture myself inside of the world. You'll really feel creeped out when you hear footsteps when you're wandering through the Lost City, you feel the dread when you hear screaming in the camp when something happened, and much more. They really did a great job with the whole thing. Words really can not explain how much i love the story, world building, and the sound design this much. I really didn't expect myself to look forward to learning more about the characters, the story, and the world in this much. There are also some attributes you need to pay attention to when making decisions on the story. Depending on these attributes, you might or might not fail your action. It's almost like a D&D at times and i enjoyed it. Though i do have to admit that it should've been explained a bit more in the tutorial. You can find these attributes right under the EXP bar.

Sword making aspect really ties in with the story quite well. Each person has their own reason to employ your service, with some are more likely to talk about than the others. As far as i know, there are some commission that might be able to change the life of the commissioner, so pick your work carefully.. or don't, if you're curious about how they will end up. You can make the sword however you like as long as you fulfill their requirements, which means you can make it as cool or as whacky as you want. There are a lot of things to like in the sword making, but also to dislike. I don't like how there are some shortcut keys that doesn't really show up anywhere in game like shift + left click to copy a component with all the specifications being the same with the original part on hilt mode. Also in hilt mode, you can't really undo things for some reason, so when you messed up your parts bending or something, you have to manually drag it back. There's more i can't think off the top of my head but with even the minor inconvenience, it's still enjoyable for the most part.

So, overall i whole-heartedly recommend this game to anyone who enjoy spending time making swords and immersing themselves in this story they have presented. This has been an enjoyable journey and i'm looking forward for more.

GREAT ass baseball game. I was genuinely surprised with how much i liked the game. Batting feels crisp, fielding and pitching also feels great, graphic is also good and optimized, the sound for the hitting and the ball getting into the mitt is *chef's kiss*. There are a couple of game modes here that play a lot so i'll be talking about that.

Spirits mode, which is a poker game mode that requires you to match cards and getting the best hand possible to obtain points. These points can be used to build a player, which includes obtaining skills and improving their stats. The player you make can be used in the Star Player mode. You can make GODLY players here, the highest i made was a 800 star pitcher so yeah if you want players who's on crack make it here. Check out guides on youtube for making players here and also search up awakening players on Spirits mode.

Hakkyu no Kiseki is a unique game mode to PBS 2024-2025. It's a game mode where you become a baseball coach to a highschool you make at the start of the game mode. You can choose what region your highschool is in, and depending on the region you might have to fight harder for that Koshien spot since some region have more highschools than other regions. Between tournaments and games, you can train your students with cards. This might get confusing but essentially you can choose up to 3 cards to train your students. There are variations like 3 cards on regular days and 5 cards on a training camp which usually happens a week or two before summer koshien and after new year (i think) and these training camps increases the exp gained from your cards. And by picking 2 or more card of the same type (for example 2 batting card in one session), you'll get bonus exp for said training per card of the same type. You can also adjust what each of your students should be training on (batting, pitching etc), depending on what training menu your students are on, they might or might not benefit from the cards you choose. Once the summer koshien ends, your 3rd year students will retire and they can get drafted by NPB (this happens in December). If they get drafted, you can use them in Star Player mode as the character you control or as an NPC! Pretty cool. The more prestigious your highschool is, the easier it is for you to nurture players to the highest level. TMI but the darker your field is the more exp the students gain from the training, the field level is tied directly to your school's reputation. There's a lot more here but I yapped too much about it already lol. Great game mode, had a great time managing my team.

Star Player mode is just your standard career mode. You can use the character you made on Spirits Mode, your students from HnK mode, or make a brand new character for that playthrough. There are some interesting mechanics within Star Player mode like dating and friendship among other things. Dating is self-explanatory, you can choose between 3 girls to date (note: if your character is 17 years old, you wouldn't be able to date, buy cars and apartments). Friendship is a system where you can make friends with other players, and by completing the friendship gauge you can either get bonus exp for your training or obtain one of his skills. By the end of the season (which is around December) new players are going to be drafted, where you can decide if the players you make on Spirits mode or graduated students on HnK get drafted or not. You can choose up to 100 players, you won't be able to choose what team they're going to be on and you also won't be able to control the drafted players at all. Still, I think it's pretty fun to go against my students or the characters I made through gambling for hours LOL.

I honestly think there aren't that much bad thing i could say about the game except that there's no english localization (which is understandable). I genuinely love this game and i'd recommend it to anyone who love baseball. This game genuinely fills out the draught of baseball game on PC and i'm all here for it. spent 30+ hours on my first 2 days of getting this game, if that means anything LOL. No P2W as far as i experienced on those 3 game modes.

100/10 for me. Also use OCR, it'll help out a TON in terms of translating majority of the game's content for you (which is on a text box). Check out the channel "Checked Swing" on youtube, helped me out a lot with setting up the game and understanding the available game modes.

3v3 is such a weird choice. map feels empty and the game doesn't really run well even with it being 3v3.. on an empty map...

EDIT: below is my initial review of the game, but right now im making a stance towards the devs and the publisher to treat Global audience equally just like how they treat CN. They sold the new skin (Veiled Sword) in CN as a bundle without gacha and all for the price of 2580 and expect Global audience to shill out a total 7500 pearls for the whole thing as a gacha. This is outrageous and honestly for this alone i might stop playing the game. I dont expect you all to do the same but if you want to be respected in the future i hope you take the stance as well. I will wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone if they treat us with the respect we deserve as customers and players, otherwise hell no. update: they're trying to make amends by giving everyone 10 premium gacha pulls while they still havent make the costume a package like it should be. Edit: they said they’re committed to not making the same mistake, we’ll see.

GREAT, combat really picks up at world level 3 and theres an abundance of content. Expect a wuwa + sekiro WITHOUT the character gacha, because this game is FREE and the only gacha is non-pay2win cosmetics that doesnt really have any impact to gameplay. Beautifully crafted world, even on the first region, and soundtrack is great. Boss fights are very similar to sekiro fights, except i could literally parry everything. Hell, i even spent 1-2 hours on one boss just trying to perfect my timing and it feels so great to finally pull an (almost) perfect parrying run lol. The gratification i felt or get from this game, i really haven’t felt since sekiro or elden ring. 20% of exploration on the first region so far and i havent really decided to go to the next region because it has so much content i haven’t seen that i dont feel the need to go yet LOL. I rarely feel that way on a game but for a free game like this, it’s definitely crazy since they were able to make a world feel more alive than, i dare say, any other free games and some triple A titles out there. Though i do have to say some contents (like side story etc) does have a weird fluctuating quality that at time makes you think it’s a triple A game and the others aren’t. Like you can really see what content they’re putting a greater care on, and ones they don’t really put as much efforts to. But most of the times it doesnt really matter that much anyways since i’ve expected that from a free game like this. Oh right cosmetics, dropped a few dollars and might drop some more but the game already have a LOT of free ones i haven’t really feel the need to drop more for now. But they do have bangers on the chinese store i cant wait to get my hands on when they release globally. Overall this is a good ass game with an abundance of content that really made my ADHD ass get distracted every 5 minutes.

Would definitely recommend yall to try, 9/10

Fun game, sad that the PC Ui from the CN server are not implemented immediately. If you have a Wuxia craving maybe play this game as this is one of the better Wuxia MMO. Mtx are mostly cosmetics and some ultimate skills that you can also obtain from gameplay. Graphic is good but i must admit there are some problem especially when you turn on FSR. The music is great, exactly what you expect from a Wuxia game or genre as a whole. Story is good enough, it's exactly what you'd expect when you read LNs (minus the grotesque stuff).
