I started a new game and gathered supplies from the airplane, immediately moving to the coast figuring it would be the safest place to make a camp. A femal mutant watched me as I planned where to place my hunting shelter and then attacked me when I turned my back. I woke up in a cave and made my way back to the camp and saw two more mutants waiting for me. I killed one and started attacking the other when suddenly I died - a third mutant had been behind me the whole time. I lasted for two minutes, and the game was already excellent.

As everyone knows F.E.A.R. is the best game in the series, but the bad rep that F.E.A.R. 3 gets is unfair. As a stand alone game it's very well done, I enjoyed every second of it. It made huge improvements on the damage done to the series by the second game, and the story was captivating. This game may not be right for a long-time F.E.A.R. fan but for anyone who can put their fanboy feelings aside long enough to actually enjoy the game, it's well worth it.
