This game is fantastic, but really shows it's teeth in the late to end game. I highly recommend playing if you are able to dedicate a lot of time and focus. Regardless, it is a free to play game, and really feels like one down the road.

Combat is super satisfying. Good amount of variety with the classes and skill. There are some incredibly well done cinematic set pieces that breath life into an aggressively OK story-line. You'll eventually just mash through story beats until you come across some amazing moments in dungeons.

Unfortunately this game does not respect your time in any way. It demands all of it. People can make pay to win arguments all they want. When your game is designed to not be played due to time gated activities, and pushes you towards spending cash to speed progression, then your game is pay to keep up. There is an abundance of mobile game play tropes scattered throughout it's systems (again it's free to play, but it does feel greasy). Some grind games will feel like tossing a bucket of water at a brick wall that you keep refilling until you break through. This game is like throwing 30 shot glasses of water at the same wall, 10 of which will only refill once a week, while the other 20 will consume all of your time to acquire all over the game world only to be used once a day.

If you're playing with friends it's a blast. But unless you are lucky or dropping that wallet, you will get left behind because you will constantly keep running out of materials due to the game's fail mechanics trying to upgrade your gear. Some folks might have a lot of time to spare and can find an incredible time playing this game, but if you can't spare a job's worth of time a week, waste your time elsewhere.

At some point I will stop chasing my favorite FPS franchise of old and learn that it will never be what it once was. But it is not this day. They have my money, and that's all that matters to them.
