Not every Chinese player is a menace and to assume the opposite would just be a problem of its own, but nobody can or should deny the sheer fact that for there being a lot of them in Nightreign, _most_ of them are problematic.

I'd rather the game go on life support if it means losing most of those people, because then we'd at least finally get better matches.

That wouldn't be an issue if the reverse applied, where most would be fine, and only a small portion would be bad apples.

People not getting pushback partially results in them feeling falsely secure and incorrectly confident in what they do and being the way that they are. Them getting defensive on being confronted reinforces this.

2. Like You have 2 million and you can buy a bit over 1k deep relics, and would you roll 10, they suck so reload the save file, rinse and repeat? I doubt that. I would just block them and move on, it's not worth it to risk more bans, especially of this kind. You cannot fight it back unfortunately. I just don't see the appeal in killing bosses in fewer hits. Maybe it could be fun for few games but then what?

1. Like Lukas said there are multiple millions of possible combinations. If you rolled 10 relics and read what passives they have in 10 seconds(meaning that you spend few seconds to read the 3-slot ones and skip the rest), you are able to roll 60 per minute, 3600 per hour (but I guess that would be slower, as you would get bored over time). 720 000 in 200 hours. Yes, it's nowhere close. Not to mention that most people who use savescumming are just rolling all the currency they have, and hope for getting something good, and if they get something then they get a "restore point" with a lot of murk wasted already. So I have no idea how much murk you would need to be able to roll for over 200 hours and get all these relics without wasting a lot of murk on single one of them.

There is also to consider the fact that certain Relic Effects and evem Relic Demerits have varying weights.

This explains why something like Starting Incantation Beast Claw feels so rare - - because it is.

I would bet my right arm that this cheater didn’t save scum for rolls. They used cheat engine and edited these relics 100%. The main reason is because most of this cheater’s relics has no interchangeability across slot effects. For instance, if you wanted their first base relic, with that exact combination, that’s the only combination and slot order possible across 11,000,000 relics with 3 slots. For all those three effects to coexist they must be in that order (not including color). To have 5-6 relics with zero interchangeability, 10/10 effects, negligible curses, you can roll until the heat death of the universe and never find this set up.

It's sad, because it stops being so much about the game anymore, and instead, more about my ever-dwindling faith in humanity.

I know what you're saying; I've played this game a lot, don't have many God rolls -- the ones I even do are mostly for Nightfarers I don't play as much, and even then, they tend to have one or more terrible Demerits, or just don't all fit together in a single Chalice.

Like, I'm back at Depth 5 just to maximize Relic farming in a fair, legitimate way, and even that it just getting me tons of junk -- all while meeting loads of cheaters.

That person admitted to savescumming -- that's not cheating? Circumventing steps of farming in unintended ways, I suppose, is not cheating? This is like, instead of going for another 35+ minutes to do everything all over again, you just snap your fingers and everything is back so you can do-over.

The sheer lengths and vast amounts of excuses people would go for just to attempt to justify their impotence...

Funny thing is, if you take that screenshot to the forum and ask some of the members there if this player is cheating. A lot, maybe the majority will defend the cheater and say something along the lines of, "This relic setup is still possible tho if you have a lot of hours." It's a straight up cheated setup, not maybe, it fully is. Even if you have 30,000 hours, these perfect 10/10 relic setups are so astronomically rare that you are more likely to have your entire body quantum tunnel through the chair you're sitting in reading this comment than obtaining such a god tier setup.

So if any might see this, wonder why everything before it looks like ranting:

Told him off for cheating, saying I hope the CCP punishes him, upon seeing he's Chinese, since the CCP crack down on cheating.

Blocked. Reported. Moved on. That's it. Never again.

These are the profiles now, as an update.

I got Community-banned for a day, so I couldn't do even basic things like profile editing and blocking cheaters and harassers in games. Meanwhile, others are scot-free, no problem, no fuss, no muss, they get away with it, because Support is corrupt.

The guy decided to change IDs and URLs to be a sly mutt after everything, so the above are the (as of this comment) updated.

Equipment and network issues are really frustrating. I was queuing duo with another teammate, and we guessed you were having some problems at the time, but we didn’t mind. You don’t have to feel bad about it either—after all, we won in the end.

The moderation’s something else. Same mods dropping instant bans on the same guy every week.

Time to migrate to reddit, I guess. The comments there are on a whole different level of chaos. You'll find entire armies of relic hackers and people passionately defending "tasteful cheating" and even when they are getting downvoted, it barely changes anything.

The game definitely isn't balanced around best-in-slot Relics given that Depth 5 can easily be broken with minimal effort, knowledge, and skill.

And, no, there definitely are Depth 4 and 5 parasites like this. I no longer tend to stay much there, and frequently derank back to 1-2 and go for a do-over. I used to stay at 9999 consistently, and more often than not, had fun. No longer the case.

The lag is an outlier, and while common, is a different issue of its own caliber. Currently my main gripe is trying to figure out how Parrying might be made more reliable. I'm thinking of trying two-handed as well as left-handed Parries, to see if there's some beneficial spaghetti code that somehow makes it more feasible, seeing as recently I have discovered tech with certain Passives that work upon body-slamming into a target after pulling myself with Claw Shot, by having them in the left hand.

I mean the floor lickers are common, tbh when i play in lag matches anyone can be there at some point.

But i did had instances of people nuking boss with +4 effects in all relics .... it wasn't fun to play

Which i think it's interesting because it would seem either the game was balanced around the lack of maxed relics or with maxed relics i just dont know which way Fromsoft handled their balance

Nearly all of the people with cheated Relics have been ego-driven, have three-barred, and have leeched off of Depths 4 and 5.

So, no, indirectly, it does indeed cause harm.

Makes sense, i think at the end of day while relic cheating is wrong they dont go out of the way to make the experience miserable if it's normal relic effects(possible to get)...... but regardless can make the experience worse at the end of day just the same

Speaking of them and hackers, I've been making a list of Relic cheaters, griefers, and some other hackers I've personally seen or been relayed to about.

Since that Group doesn't care about smaller culprits like Relic cheaters and griefers, I got tired of more than doubling their count of proven hackers, and feel that more people should be made aware of the other people I've been coming across that aren't being added.

Although, the list consists only of people I have reported officially to Bandai and in-game, so it won't include people from months, months ago. So, many are missing.

Still, that's 40+ people already populating that list, and I've been trying to compile proof as well so it doesn't look like it's just biased and attempted witch hunts.

Should probably leave that to Csand and Lord Bob.
