Celeste is a precise and rewarding platformer with a high skill ceiling and challenges for every level of player. With beautiful pixel art graphics and an absolute banger soundtrack that I unironically listen to on my own time, every aspect of this game was made with care. The movement is crisp and feels nice to use, and platforming challenges are sightreadable but still mechanically challenging in a way that left me clamoring for more. With eight main levels the game would be plenty large, but each level also has a B side and C side with a more challenging remix of the obstacles from the original version. Each level only introduces one or two new obstacle types, so you never feel overwhelmed. There is also a free 9th level addition that is the culmination of all of the skills you've learned throughout the game put to the test. At the time of writing Celeste is definitely one of my top five favorite games of all time and I don't see it leaving that list any time soon. Not to mention the large modding community which produces high quality level mods for all skill levels or the healthy speedrunning scene that is very active for an indie game. Celeste has been a wonderful game throughout my playthrough and I highly recommend it to anybody who is even slightly interested. 10/10.
