I just wish there were more maps to play the leafcutters on. the different difficulties are "cool" I guess, but it would be nice to just have more levels, not even new ants. no matter how "hard" the management it is still the same map over and over. the levels that are here are great, and the game is more than long enough as is, but some more variety would be nice. or maybe like, a way to make and share custom maps? only getting to use the gimmicks of each ant species twice at most is really sad.

I got 360 hours out of it. it is grindy, the dlc is overpriced for what it is, but the main gameplay loops are fun and the spaceships are cool

It's a good game, one of the new-ish bosses is really rough and needs tuning, and it has occaisional crashes, but me and two friends made it to the end, and it was pretty fun.

without a doubt, peak fiction. Chapters 3&4 are amazing, and I will be waiting eagrely to see how this story continues. also, Chapter 3's secret chain is absolute CBT, what was he thinking?

very good both as a brutal survival/combat game, and later as a power fantasy. with enough work and decent strategy you can take out entire towns with like 2 guys, 1 with some cheese. mods somewhat necessary.

overall, I find the combat a bit too light and fast for a monster hunter game, a lot of the fights are depending too much on mobility and make certain weapons genuinely worse than others to use in the endgame, and the graphical style is clearly held back by the switch. (textures for the pc version like MHW had would have been a nice touch) but there is a lot of good here. the weapon and armor designs are an enormous step up from world, as they actually have different models for most weapon trees at this point, instead of the "plume or leather stapled on the basic weapon models" world had. hope this is kept up in survive and we have a bit more of a return to the slightly slower more methodical pace of previous MH games, but with the modern QoL of rise.

a relaxing but incredibly basic game with half baked art direction that was abandoned 3-4 months after release. there are still game breaking bugs present. lots of promise in the beginning and certainly a relaxing game to play with a bit of visual variety, but it feels like 1/4th of a game. there is so much diversity that is hinted at with all the different types of essences that you can use to make your worlds, the promise of new things to overcome in your towns, but after the first few hours or about the first 3-4 tree worlds you finish, you have seen literally every interesting thing this game has to offer. they just did not finish it. you can get to the end of the main "story" sure but the game play progression is just not there and the actual impact of that story is negligible to non-existent. could've been great, as it stand it is somewhere around a 6 if you like the farming/chore simulation type of game.

this game is beautiful and quite fun. I haven't quite finished it yet because I am a game hopper, but that is no fault of the game itself. ignore the negative reviews from people with less than 2 hours, they are literally all from people with zero attention span that put absolutely no effort into the game and felt insulted that there was (entirely optional) lore dumps every now and then. it is a different style for sure, but if you liked metroid prime and it's scanning mechanics chances are this game is going to be up your alley. solid gameplay, visuals, and reading material.

its fine, I guess. almost nothing in the way of content and absolutely unstable in multiplayer. items not syncing correctly unexplainable rubberbanding, the giant makes no sense and you are often just entirely ******* over by rng, like walking into a location only to get blocked by the instant kill tall guy on one side and the four legged dash monster on the other. several times I could not see loot on the ground that the host could. random objects would disappear. the core gameplay would be fun if it wasn't nearly unplayably buggy.

wish they spent half the time of getting their procedurally generated nothing spheres and janky starmap to work on making a single decent playable area instead. or making ship combat good, or literally anything other than making loading screen simulator 2023. I can't say I had no fun with it, but good lord was it disappointing. a hollow shell of a game made of a bunch of half decent ideas duct taped together with none of them finished or fleshed out. also several of the quest lines severely glitch out if you do even the slightest thing out of order (very easy to do on any of the somewhat complex missions.)
