Early Access Review
A very fun, original and funny game. It's crazy to think that it's still in early access because there's already so much content and characters you can play. The two player game is easier than the one player but you get the added twist of having to fight each other depending on what level you're doing. The story really makes you feel like you're just a mindless minion doing the bidding of some rich fat cat. Even though it's something most can relate to, they still make it original and funny. I couldn't stop laughing while I was trying to drive the car. Admittedly, I'm not the best at driving vehicles in video games but this was another level. Now get back to work, break time is over.

A masterpiece. It was even better than I thought, but I didn't like the last dream-like stage, where the developers rehashed previous levels. I would have preferred something new. The chicken was the breakout star and really needs its own game.

Surprisingly, this game doesn't have more reviews. It's challenging sometimes but oh so satisfying when you finally solve it. Thankfully, you only need to solve half the levels to progress to the next set. The tile abilities or limitations introduced on each set are very original. The bonus levels are easy but quite fun. I highly recommend it.

I don't usually play walking simulators, but I enjoyed Our Mountain. It's a sad story about a man and his dog, made more tragic because the main character can't get over his past, leading them to the mountain path. The journey is about an hour and a half. There's not much to do on the walk, but it's made enjoyable by the scenery, sometimes switching to the dog, collecting bones, and reading notes. The slowly revealing backstory and the suspense that something terrible will happen are enough to keep you going. It might be worth it at full price, but it's definitely worth it on sale.

Growth is a relaxing and addicting puzzling game. It'll give you hours of fun and has a steep learning curve. However, once you master the game, it is no longer challenging, and the maps, while procedurally generated, tend to be mostly the same. The final volcano hex is always the same. Once you've completed the initial runs, it has little to offer. But I'd pick it up on sale.

Despite having a native resolution of about 320x240- seriously, it's 2023- the game is beautiful and must be experienced. The cartoony animations and sounds hit the spot and really added to the game. The story was original, well done, and one of my all-time favorites. There could have been more puzzles, and the existing ones fell under the Goldilocks principle. Either too easy, too hard, or just right. But it's still worth buying. I wish there were more games like this.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story, characters, and puzzles in Voodoo Detective. The game is a bit dark, while the voice acting is top-notch. I wish there were side quests to help flesh out the characters and story. Other than a few misdirections, there's only the main story arc. You also can't interact with most objects.

The end puzzle needed to be clearer. Without a walkthrough, I would have been lost. The final boss sequence was a homage to Curse of Monkey Island. While not as fun or forgiving, it's easy once you master it.

I highly recommend it to fans of point-and-click adventures or detective games.

Even though it's just cooking and a story, Venba is a simple yet fun game. There are quite a few layers of emotional storytelling that make you think about your choices. Even when you think it's the right choice, it might be wrong. Or they could all be wrong. It's definitely worth playing, even if it's just under 2 hours.

Vegetarian Warning: Digital fish were harmed in this game.

ZHED is a super enjoyable puzzle game. It starts simple, but it starts becoming quite challenging halfway through. It's sometimes unclear which box you need to move last, which adds to the challenge. You can't use hints or undo if you want the achievements, but you get unlimited restarts. If you like games that rack your brain, get it, you won't be disappointed.

Mutropolis needs more love. The game was entertaining, funny, original, and immersive. It almost felt like I wasn't playing a game despite some ridiculousness to the story. I loved all the characters, even the villains. It was funny how they viewed our present in the future when they didn't have the necessary context. I didn't know what Mutropolis would be, but I wasn't disappointed. It fits right into the game. They also did a great job of making you question the characters' motives.

Most of the puzzles had just the right difficulty, but two at the end, I would never know what to do if I didn't have a walkthrough. These would be the third trial puzzle and whatever you were supposed to do with Max.

I highly recommend the game. Just remember to bring your trusty trowel and possibly a bird suit.
