legitimately the best game of all time to play with people you really like

edit: There is also an insanely bad VRAM leak that still hasn't been patched. It's widely reported on, and after I've played 3 games the FPS drops from 120-130 all the way down to 40-50 on relatively moderate settings. It immediately jumps back up after restarting the game. DLSS is broken, and needs to be turned off and on every other game to get it working again, and it also tanks performance for some reason. DLSS performance performs worse for me than 120% scaling which is insane. I've never seen anyone do it this bad before

very weird and concerning changes to portal, they've completely disabled hardcore mode and broken the promise that portal will have full progression, even when not in bot lobbies, defeating the point of portal in the first place. The character skins in the new update also make the soldiers look like energy drink cans. I can't believe how quickly they forgot about making this more grounded than 2042 lmao

You have to mod it to hell and back to make it a tactical / stealth shooter worth touching, but once you have it's a turns into an incredible ghost recon game. I personally prefer first person, but beyond that: the spartan difficulty mod, authentic warfare sound, and the weapon accessory emporium are mandatory imo. There are a lot of other options, and you'll probably want to look around for things that you personally want to add. Unfortunately for co-op to work you need to have the same mod list, which is only really an issue bc the modding is a bit of a pain.

I haven't touched Wildlands in a long time but if you want a game that doesn't suck out of the box just get that instead

It's what it says on the box, it's executed well and one of the better roguelikes in this genre that i've played. There isn't anything that I view as a major negative or would want to change.
