Best thing Fromsoft has done yet

Update to original review: game is much more broken than previously. Servers getting worse, challenges getting worse/more broken, game modes not working at all, skill based matchmaking has destroyed all social non ranked games. Literally new issues everyday, might be worth playing a year from now when it's not a complete microtransaction focused mess.

I haven't played a Halo game since Halo 3, at present I do not recommend it.

Pros: Gameplay is fast paced, exciting

The game modes that were added recently add variety


Cons:

Battlepass is a terrible value, barely any customization. It is aimed at whales who will spend hundreds of dollars for skins, tons of content from previous games that was literally copy and pasted into infinite are hidden behind absurd price tags. Nobody should have to pay $10 for warthog cosmetic mudflaps, or $20 for a helmet and a color.

Desync issues means hits not registering, being shot around corners.

Big Team Battle connectivity is absurdly bad, if you manage to get in and finish a game you will need to restart your game to play a second game

2 of 3 big team battles maps give 1 side a serious advantage

Roughly 4 guns are completely useless in multiplayer and another 2 are borderline useless

No ability to rejoin ranked games when disconnected

Controller players receive insane aim assist, ranked multiplayer at higher levels is skewed towards console players

No incentive to win in any mode besides ranked(but not really) and occasional challenges. Xp is the same win or lose, whether you carry the team or sit afk the whole match you receive the same xp.
