the good:
> trying to fight the jank was almost fun
> mowing down a horde of zombies was fun
> the way npcs react to being shot is well done imo
the bad:
> there a strange ai slop unskippable cutscene when you boot up the game (mine was bugged, only played audio and the first frame of what i imagine was the cutscene)
> the ui is laughably bad, you can open up the same menu more than once and pressing escape does nothing, forcing you to reboot the game to play without a giant spawn menu blocking the whole screen
> there is no volume slider for crying out loud
> there is no sensitivity scale
> all of the bodycam modes are almost unusable as the camera youre viewing the game from often jiggles in and out of the playermodel as you walk / run / shoot making it really hard to actually play the game
> corpses reacting to bullets is hit and miss
> the vehicles are earpiercingly loud, and stay loud unless you move far, far away (this isnt helped by the lack of volume controls)
> some of the guns are incredibly loud (again) while some of them have a normal volume
> there is a strange aim assist feature that locks onto limbs which can be hindering at times

if youre buying this game from a video on tiktok or instagram, just understand that the clips that are being showed are very small, 5 - 10 second clips from the game, where a scene has been meticulously crafted. if you want to recreate these scenes, go ahead, but be warned the other 95% of the game will be trying to get it to work.

After countless hours of dying light 2 and blade and sorcery, i can safely say this game scratches my psychopath itch the most.

beautiful game, amazing combat mechanics, entertaining voice acting, fluid controls. Was absolutely shocked when it ended, would easily buy a fleshed out version.

bought this game when it was on sale, then realised that the deluxe edition was on sale too... but i can't buy it because i have the base game, honeslty i would pay full price even i already had the game... just to get some operators.
