Advertised high quality wine made with ripe & juicy grapes. Purchased a crate of bottles. Uncorked one for tonight's dinner and was met with the most foul odor. The wine tasted as if a rat had crawled into the barrel and died in it. Viscous texture reminiscent of swamp muck. My son has been bedridden ever since he drank it.
Barely palatable grape sludge, and for a king's fortune at that. Do NOT trust.
Advertised healthy grain harvest, purchased eighty quintals of barley. The most aphid-infested, powdery yellow grain I have ever laid my eyes upon. I was barely able to turn sixty livres of suitable flour out of it, and even then it was still gritty and of loathesome quality.
Pest-filled grain at nearly double market prices. Do not trust them, likely a gypsy.
