I think this game has a somewhat unfair reputation due to a bad launch and a poor feature-set. However over the seasons the game has steadily improved and for me this game is now hugely relaxing and engaging to drop into from time to time with a 'complex-enough' feeling but not completely overwhelming like PoE. Downside is the monetization, whilst it doesnt have any pay-to-win aspects it is quite predatory considering the box and xpac prices !

Not been playing long but experiencing equal parts wonder, confusion, impressed and disgust. The controls and UI are pretty bad, but the world looks visually amazing and it seems the maps are huge so plenty of scope for exploration.

Initial impression are that it does feel like a game they 'eventually decided to release' rather than the devs saying 'this is awesome, totally finished and ready to ship' however they have quickly patched and I hope they continue to work on it as I think it could be an absolute classic.

Loving the experience so far, the campaign has a nice tutorial/learning curve and the atmosphere and uniqueness of the setting is very good. The music and characters although a bit cliche are well done and the game feels polished and has run super smoothly for me. One gripe is that given the importance of layouts in this game the ability to move multiple buildings at once would be well received instead of having to migrate everything one at a time.
Overall a great game for a reasonable price.. Hope to see more from this studio !

I'm a bit conflicted by this game, overalls its quite mid but as a life long Trek fan I'm loving their respect and integration of the Voyager lore, playing through the various stories and managing the ship resources and upgrades feels involving and whilst there is some illusion of choice there are also many real impactful choices. Also the lack of Star Trek music and proper character voicing is disappointing especially as the dialogue and writing seems good. I think AI would have done a great job at imitating the original actors.

Lastly for me the big negative is the ship combat, not really a fan, I dont want active action based ship flying but this just feels confused and unintuitive. A simple turn based approach would have been more fitting.

So both good and bad points but overall its an enjoyable experience at a reasonable price. Would love to see Original Trek, Next Generation and DS9 games also.

Should have given the other viewers more credit but i thought I knew better .. They were right the Camera view is not good and the controls are awful .. you either hardly hit or you end up smashing it. Some sort of power meter would have been way better. After only a few minutes its not a game I want to play any more :(

Early Access Review
Enojyable game with solid foundations to build on. Coming from Satisfactory it made me apppreciate the huge quality of life features/functions there that are missing from StarRupture but hopefully many of these will come in time. Currently content is good even if not complete and the factory building is ok once you learn to work around some of the bugs and 'features'. If you like other factory building games then this is well worth a go

Addictive gameplay loop coupled with nice progression, loads of different characters all with distinct skills make this a great game in my opinion. The UI and pixel art just adds to the overall polish of the game. If there's one criticism its that the game can feel a little too easy once you've worked out what you're doing. A more than reasonable price with no microtransactions make this game great value and a must-play.

A good game that could be great if it wasnt shamed by its unapologetic DEI cast & storylines and the airbrushing of beauty in favor of the overweight and ugly. If they continue down this path they'll ruin what could be a good thing in much the same way as Assassin Creed, Dragon Age and many other.

Hadnt followed this game at all but so glad I dived in and gave it a try. Hugely satisfying to see a planet come alive as you progress. Loved the exploration aspect although felt the automation aspect could do with a little work quality of life as it was hard to balance production and chasing bottlenecks. Minor gripes though in what is a great experience.

Great little crafting and management game with some interesting map traversal mechanics. Fairly low challenge on normal but I enjoyed the chill gameplay. The game seems well polished with a nice aesthetic and i've not encountered any bugs/issues. Good to see the devs still adding and improving things and I noticed many new additions since my previous playtime.
