Grasshopper Manufacture did it again. Excellent style, excellent music, incredibly entertaining writing, and a Hard mode that's actually kinda challenging. Experience and knowledge of previous GhM games not required but absolutely is a plus, there's references and easter eggs aplenty. There's also numerous Gundam references practically bleeding through the screen. First good thing to happen to me this year so far.

If you like action games and unique experiences, you should definitely check a look!

This is the closest we'll ever get to a native F-Zero release on PC. I think it's even got momentum throttling, but I'll have to look into that more.

Edit: After spending a bit more time with the game, I can confidently say that it is the most faithful love letter to the F-Zero franchise I've ever seen. It replicates even the most niche, lesser-known mechanics from GX (and probably from X too, I just have more experience with GX) and the tracks are phenomenally fun to the point where this is the most enjoyment I've had in a racing game since the first Redout.

There are some bugs, mostly audio/visual (like the announcer VO cutting out, the most common one I've seen), but the game's still in EA and I'm confident that Aaron will iron everything out over time. I really hope this game is a success story for him, he's been my favorite dev to watch over time on Twitter and has been very receptive to feedback.

The only thing that's missing from this for it to surpass GX in my eyes would be the already-planned content to be added and the pilot interviews from GX at the end of a GP win, though I know that would be a lot of work and probably outside the scope of a solo dev.

Regardless, this game is amazing. Best racing game in years by a mile. Please support this game.
