The Human Aspect

Cyberpunk is of course, a very dystopian game. Corps owning people, cops doing nothing, gangs doing what they want with zero pushback. Despite it's bleakness, there's a certain beauty to Night City. The graphics are great (especially if you upscale things), the story is amazing and the characters are well written. Granted, some things don't make sense, but it's Night City. Things rarely make sense. The addition of Phantom Liberty makes things so much better. It gives another layer to the story of survival.

But what I think Cyberpunk does so well is the characters. Chilling with the nomads in the badlands one minute, getting down and dirty with people's gang problems the next and finishing the day off by doing some jobs for Night City's elite.
The streets feel nuanced. The characters feel like they belong. You'll get to know most of them on a pretty personal basis. Their ideals. Their likes. Their wants, their needs. if you're looking for a dark story with great characters and plenty to do, this game is it. Just be warned: there are rarely happy endings in Night City.

If you liked Harvest Moon, you'll love My Time at Portia. Don't let my hours on it fool you, I've spent countless more on the Xbox version. Got this version because PC versions are usually better. Anyways, there is always something to do in this game. If you're not gathering resources, ruin diving or building something, there's always talking to your fellow Portians for relationship points and benefits. It has a fantastical charm to it that the developers say is inspired by the world famous Miyazaki. If you like laid back sandbox games, you will absolutely love this game. I can assure you of that.

I have to say, I played this game way back when when I still in grade school. It's one hell of a great game. Story line is amazing, graphics for the time aren't bad at all, and you can keep playing it again and again if you want. It could just be me though...anyways...awesome game.
