So I'm going to write a proper review once I get a few more endings unlocked, but I will say, I thought this game was actually rather enjoyable. Overall, easily a very solid 6-7 out of 10, and I wish they had more time to cook with this game.

I had a few gripes with some of the feeding mechanics.

Phyre and Fabian are easily the characters that stick with you from this game. I really enjoyed playing as Phyre, and not just their combat. Playing as an Elder was an extremely fun choice for them to make, though sometimes you get a bit of the "errand person" feel, which you shouldn't.

Sadly, with all of the issues with it, and it having been announced for a release in 2020, Paradox needed to get something out to get some type of cash back, Hardsuit labs were pulled from the project, and this game was almost shelved completely. I truly think The Chinese Room gave us a solid game with the time and budget they were allotted, albeit a MUCH different type of game. I think that "different" type of game stems from two places, what PARADOX wanted, and what Chinese labs made.

I think The Chinese Labs understood WHAT was actually wanted, and tried to weasel more out of Paradox, you can see the "skeleton" underneath that may suggest this. (not literally, this was a completely different game than Hardsuit was working on)

I hope if Paradox ever allows another game (which judging by the reception, I doubt sadly.), they go hard into it. Let the devs work, and give us the Bloodlines we truly want.

I will add more to this involving gameplay eventually, but I wanted to talk the "politics" of it heavily no matter what, because THAT is why we got this game.

Just finished it, and I cannot recommend this game enough.

Its fairly short, and the gameplay and graphics are on the simple side, but all of it is more than serviceable, and the use of the intermittent cutscenes keeps you engaged and curious, but graphics and gameplay are not why you're playing Signalis.

The story behind this game is incredibly well thought out, and honestly reminded me of a Yoko Taro approach to the game's narrative, invoking emotions in the player and letting them think about how the story might play out next before giving them more clues. Questions race through your mind as you work towards your goal, and that goal leaves you with just as many answers as it does questions, and I'm not sure i can say too much more without spoiling.

Just play it.

Good game. I can understand some gripes with the ship mechanics but its still very well made. It is a classic Bethesda RPG, the gameplay leans more towards a Fallout 4 style in terms of resource collecting, and base building/shipbuilding, while the actual narrative, side quests, and general theme are definitely more akin to Skyrim, or even Fallout New Vegas.

I would also like to say, for playing a Bethesda game 5 days before release, I had a surprisingly smooth experience, yes my framerate dipped to 30 in major cities, so it needs some work, but never did I have a truly major bug that made me reload or restart my game, which, this is made by Bugthesda so we have to give some credit here. Now, there were a few things such as NPC's getting stuck on my ships ladders occasionally once my ship got quite large (your heard me guys they finally added ladders) and I had one experience with a character model stretching in the later game, but these are very minor bugs throughout 65 hours, for being a Bethesda game on release.

I was wowed by this game a few times, and there is room for replayability in how you create your character and the way the act towards situatuons, and even gameplay styles.

I would recommend the game, I see myself putting quite a bit more time into it, and the creation kit for it hasn't even dropped yet. Once modding hits this game, i think it will become another god level Bethesda game, that easily beats out fallout 4 and 76.

I'd say its worth the 19 dollars it is now. I feel like I got my money's worth when I payed 60 for just the base game.

Far Harbor supposedly is quite good in story compared to the base game. (I've never played the dlcs lol)

The modding scene of this game is fantastic, I'm excited to see where it goes while we wait for the next mainline fallout game.

Would recommend.

I see you gather before me, hungry, terrified, clutching your babe to your breast.

I played this game seeing that a couple of my friends wanted it. I thought "Oh, another choice game, I kind like those." But this turned out to be one of the best I ever play. It gave me a Beyond Two Souls feel. It is amazing, its graphics are good and the art style is amazing. Amazing game.
