I feel this game needed a big review as I have very mixed feelings about how well this game turned out and what it brought with it.

Starting off, Buying the early access edition and not being able to play for nearly 2 days because of the crash issues with the DX12 and the normal launch was a big headache so I did not get so much early access after paying full price for the Anniversary Edition and the extra DLC.

Playing the game I use a wheel setup to make the most out of the experience in F1 games. with a ton of hours in F1 2018 on the same wheel I can say that you feel a lot more on the car than the previous year, the drive generally feels more responsive and grips a lot better. "most of the time"

The graphics are a really nice step up from previous years with much more realistic graphics and looks. But in 2019 we are still missing a few small details that are really important to a game like F1. Tyre smoke or is barley noticeable and even when there is enough wheel spin to see some it vanishes unrealistically quick. Crash graphics are still kinda chunky despite F1 cars being light when they crash they feel or look like they are stuck to the ground via a magnet and struggle to make it 50-100 meters after crashing at full speed. Debris hits the floor and acts like a hockey puck on solid ice.
One of the biggest issues I have with crashing is 75% of the time when you hit another driver they very rarely take terminal damage. Even at high speeds AI cars act like a Scalextric toy car, keeping to their racing line un affected. Even if two AI cars crash its extremely rare that you will see another driver lose their wing or detach a wheel.

the AI themselves seem to put up much more of a fight compared to previous years while being slightly over aggressive. changing the AI difficulty how ever "making it harder" makes all the AI on the grid from Rookie to Vet like suicide drivers if they even have an Inch of a lead.

Onto the complaints and Bugs I have encountered.
Even after the DX12 crashes getting sorted "turning off the steam overlay magic fix" I ran into a few random crashes after going a few days without incident. Having the (Save Mid Session) option is a life saver from now on because crashing after 65 laps out of 66 at Barcelona is a nightmare.

A few times I have had issues while driving with McLaren, When exiting the pit mid race the car completely loses power or gets stuck in like a pit limiter speed struggling to get up to 6th gear on the straights. There was no fix for this other than restarting or reloading a save. CM via email didnt even give an answer as I wanted to know if it was a random event where the player has a failure. Even asking the race engineer, his answer was Tyre condition is okay and nothing more.

If you get stuck in a pickle and are the player who uses the Replay/Rewind I have noticed a few times that if you keep using rewind events close together your own car has a spawn effect lifting it about 1 foot off the ground leaving it to crash to the floor or lose traction when you press play. Mid way though Monaco was an un pleasant restart after rewind was just "drop crash and retire" x100.

Even though I have not yet finished one full career season "full races" these are the issues I have encountered,
BUT This is a pritty nice game and a great racer. only a few titles out there to challenge it.

I really enjoy this game SO my view is if you have F1 1018 and know your way around this game is okay and you can work around some of the issues.

As a first time buyer or racer Id wait till there is evidence of this game running smoother as some of the issues may cause you to lock up your new setup or put down your controller "I dont judge" and walk away.
