Played the original back in the day, and am having a ton of fun with this one. The fact that its free makes it a no brainer to try. It does have a bit more of a mobile game vibe with simpler mechanics than the original game from what I remember. Yes, there are ways to spend money in game but I haven't spent a single cent and can beat all missions across all difficulty levels with no problem. It is pretty easy and organic to level up naturally and there is absolutely no need to spend any money in game in order to succeed or have fun. Not sure what all the crying and fuss is about here, most of the in game purchases are purely cosmetic anyways. After 200 hours I am finding the missions somewhat repetitive and monotonous but the devs seem to be doing a good job in rolling out consistent updates with new content so I'll stick around.

You cant release a game without that simple but fundamental option... not even in beta, not even in alpha.

No inverted mouse option! Should be embarrassed to launch a game without that basic fundamental feature.. and then continue to release patches without still addressing this basic feature. How many lines of code does it take to add inverted mouse, like 3? Yes, its a very small amount of people who use inverted mouse but we literally can't play the game without it.

I will give this game 1 star every year until I'm able to play 2v2 exhibition matches with 4 friends online. Blows my mind that this still isn't possible unless all 4 of you are sitting next to each other on the same computer.

P.S. Why do I need to choose language every single time on start up???
