Okay, so far, I've been having some fun with the puzzle aspect of this game, but SUFFERING with the controls. I have not only index controllers (some people have had trouble with them), but I'm also limited on space due to living in a travel trailer. This game requires you to move your paws across the floor in order to move around. a LOT of the time, I end up smashing my hands into my legs or bed because that's where the floor height has decided to be, using playspace mover hasn't been too much help because the game will auto push you out of objects.

I have also been having trouble with being unable to move because of things such as: objects on the floor, paws getting stuck on things, and difficulty with being launched because I touched something wrong, or being tossed backwards when I was attempting to move forwards... The tutorial was heck to do too, nothing in the tutorial told you that you have to go up that wall quickly to make it register that you're trying to go forwards, and being on the corner of a surface and using your paws on the horizontal surface does nothing in that position, resulting in flailing around trying to pull yourself over the edge to no avail.

I still recommend the game, but it needs some QoL tweaks for people who aren't standing.
10/10 for being able to be a cute cat and live out some cat-like behavioral fantasies, but controls need tweaking. (and maybe some volume sliders, because the music was loud on game start)

So far, the story is pretty good. Chasing down collectibles is satisfying enough. Love the visuals. Combat is a bit difficult in my opinion, but not penalizing you for using easy mode makes up for it.
I've come across a few bugs, such as a boulder being launched into the stratosphere when it hit a fence, (fixed by simply restarting the game) and lighting from outside areas bleeding through the geometry sometimes, as well as fog escaping the confines of some areas.

The main glaring issue I have is with the animations with some characters, and some voices not really matching what you'd expect from the characters visuals.. (No, not the trans barkeep) I wasn't expecting the voice of Arthur Plummly to come out the way it did, (plus a few others) but that was the most notable.

As for the animations? Some of the animations look like someone was holding the animation models at gunpoint while yelling at them to just "act natural"? Their body language is very much not natural, and very "I feel awkward, can I go home now?"
And the pose for standing still shortly after moving around looks way too... Ready to pounce? Especially when in the middle of the school where it's safe, like the character is permanently hunched from being on their toes too long.

Aside from the purely aesthetic issues and the occasional physics glitch when you play too long (lmao), the rest of the animations and the cinematic are absolutely breathtaking and highly enjoyable!

Controls are a bit janky sometimes just like the first one, but overall, Love this game.

The endings for both are such a surprise and I love it. If there is a third game planned, I'll definitely play it.

Loved this game. Some small polish needed, my immersion was broken when the cat was assumed to be sentient, but meh, still enjoyed myself. Otherwise, small graphical things were amiss here and there to those who pay super close attention, and some ai stuff was a little funky. Had one of the bots walk through a counter xD

9.8/10 Would be a Gremlin of a cat again.

Eh, I liked the parts I liked, but there was too much anal in it for me to enjoy that much...
Voice acting was amazing, kinda wish all the characters had voice acting.
Cute art, loved the style. But again, too much anal, not enough vaginal.

I cannot recommend this game until some patches come out for it. I can't even get past the first loading screen without it crashing or freezing. I've literally followed every last tiny detail of all the fixes for this online except for reinstalling windows as a whole. I even made sure to update my motherboard firmware, and used DDU to reinstall my graphics drivers, all to no avail.

I have not been able to see even the menu at this point. I'm not willing to reinstall windows to be able to play this game, it's not worth it. Game needs work. I'll change my review when it can run it on my pc.

EDIT 12/15/2021: Still no luck. it's been 2-3 updates since this review and it's still non-functional. Checked for more fixes online, one of which was making sure directx was up to date, which it is. If there's log files I can give someone, I'd be happy to send them in.

EDIT 2/5/2022: Still haven't seen the main menu yet. You'd think this sort of thing might have been figured out by now. But no. Please fix your game.

EDIT 5/21/2022: Still unable to start the game. I've seen the main menu ONE time. Just one.

EDIT 11/7/2022: Still won't start. Still don't know why. Honestly don't care anymore at this point, Microsoft has proven time and time again that I can't trust them to fix anything.

Jeez, I've really been playing it for the last 8 hours? Holy crap.

Was looking forward to this game for a while, got hooked when I played the demo.
Gotta say, it does not disappoint.

I'm gonna struggle with the skateboard part though. I'm not good with skateboards. It'd be nice to have the controls for the skateboard be a little easier though. Maybe make the skateboard harder to drop I guess?

Man, I'd LOVE to be able to rate this something positive at all, but I can't. I've tried everything to make it ignore this unknown controller input it keeps getting. Always turning up and left. ALWAYS. The speed is changed by the controller sensitivity settings, but never goes away due to 1 being a hard-coded limit. (I've tried changing this to 0 in the ini files to no avail)

I've tried even unplugging everything besides my displays. I don't have this issue in any other game. I've even tried disabling any emulated controllers. Nothing. And to top that off, ALL issues regarding this online have no actual solutions for this specific situation. (And there's many, even dating back 8 years.) This needs to be fixed. Let me 100% disable my controller input to the game. I only want my mouse and my keyboard, I WILL NOT attempt to play this with a controller. (And even then, I tried starting with a controller, and it completely ignored all my inputs)

At my wits end with this. Wanted to try it out with my friends, but this issue is literally game-breaking.

While the premise is neat, there is some requirements to continue the game at one point; the challenges. Thought it'd be pretty cool to skip the requirements for the later areas if there were, but I couldn't for the life of me get past the 4th climbing challenge, due to lack of enough time, and clunky climbing mechanics. Sometimes you'd throw yourself out and away from the wall, other times, you'd throw yourself against the wall and knock into something, and then there's the times where you try to grab, but because you're not grabbing the MESH of the surface, (your hand is too far inside the object) you end up just falling because it doesn't just let you grab the next valid mesh your hand comes into contact with.

In the end, I shouldn't have to rage at a game because I can't get past something as ridiculous as that.
Oh, and the AI is pretty primitive. Not Skyrim primitive exactly, but pretty close.

I put this game down for a while to do other things, and then came back to see that it was canceled... I'm so sad, I was going to pick it up again... I loved the vision that was had with this game, as well as the art style, and the gameplay, it was engaging and while could be a bit of a grind sometimes, it was still fun to travel around the islands, exploring each, and finding out more about what happened to the world, and what everything was. I hope it gets picked up again at a later point.
