This is a spoiler-free review as this game is meant to be enjoyed without any prior knowledge of the game. It can be enjoyed by those that like to unravel mysteries and solve puzzles. Without mentioning anything specific about the game, I can say this much: I’ve never played a “metroidbrainia” like Outer Wilds and I have this gut feeling I’ll never play anything quite like it again. This game is a truly unique experience that has captivating worlds to explore, secrets to discover, and experiences to be had. I loved how carefully crafted the Outer Wilds universe is and I can’t wait to start the DLC.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first playthrough of Dispatch. The story, voice acting, dialogue, characters, animation, and soundtrack all deserve considerable praise. While the gameplay is admittedly straightforward, there's genuine fun to be found in its puzzle-like wordplay, and it ultimately grew on me as my team of misfits leveled up and I learned more about each of their strengths and weaknesses. The story itself invokes a range of emotions and kept me captivated throughout, sometimes to the point where I'd miss some of the action while trying to time the quick-time events (which are optional, if you prefer). I'll very likely revisit Dispatch for another playthrough to chase more achievements and alternate endings. If you enjoy strong storytelling or even a well-crafted animated superhero series, Dispatch will satisfy. I'm genuinely hoping we get a Dispatch 2 down the line, but even if not, I'd welcome another original entry from AdHoc Studio—ideally in collaboration with Critical Role once again.
