It's a great game and I have very high hopes for its future development, based on the team's past work with the original. There's something magical about it that its competitors just don't have.

Now for my gripes: Still missing some cool stuff from DW1, I don't like the Stellaris-inspired humans with the gray bouffants (I feel targeted.. and I play this to get away from Stellaris lol), I don't like how the insect races have been updated to be cartoonishly eeeeevil with cannibalism events (RIP my liberal humanitarian Boskara runs) .. but all that is potentially moddable.

My MAIN gripe is a couple UI issues. Namely, you can't set the middle-mouse button (AKA mouse button 3) to click-drag the map. Before anyone says "what? no way, you must be able to do that." No, you don't know what you're talking about. You literally can not. I've been groaning about this since release. For some reason all keys are remappable except for click-drag, which only has 2 options, neither of which are the industry standard for 4x/gsg games (middle mouse btn). Really annoying when you play other 4x/grand strategy games that all use middle mouse to click drag the map, but this one doesn't let you do that for some weird reason. It would be forgivable on an older game like DW1 but this is supposed to be the new new. Oh well. Really hope they fix that. Great game otherwise.

this is the best assassin's creed yet. naoe and yasuke are awesome. i never liked the whole ancient aliens lore in the series, i feel like it distracts too much from the historical settings. but being iga clan and avenging the ikki is sick as hell. the mechanics fit perfectly with being a ninja. also having a tank character when you just want to chop fools. really pretty game too

the art style and gunplay are cool. still getting used to the body swap mechanic but its cool to see a shooter trying something new!

Long way to go but it's free and already has based mods.

A bold and daring entry in the Supreme Ruler (SR) series.

Note - it does still have some random issues, and might be the most "messy" of the SR games, because of its unique new features and extreme ambition. If you're new to SR, you should probably start with Supreme Ruler Ultimate instead, it's a lot easier to get into and more polished.

That said, if you already love the Supreme Ruler series and want to try something very different, this is kind of a must-buy in my opinion, even if only to see what it's like. Especially if you have a group to play it multiplayer with. You get the uniquely good real-time supply-based SR hex combat... but IN SPACE! With a few more updates and some mods it could conceivably be one of the best games of all time.

Simple but surprisingly fun.
