Playing solo - I love the world, the crafting, the animals. I love the feeling of fear when you meet your first troll. I love the feeling of godhood as you learn to routinely kill trolls - but then you know that you have to explore the next biome.
Very well written. Valhiem, like SupraLand, are my two top games this year and are NOT written by a horrible monolithic AAA studio. There are no micro-transactions, no silly cut-scenes. You open it up, choose which world, then with character - and you are PLAYING in under 20 seconds.
Iron Gate has demonstrated just how to write a game - it has nothing to do with extending an existing franchise for maximum profit - it has to do with FRESH EXPLORATION, FRESH ADVENTURES and flawless - I mean zero bugs - delivery.
Well done. Highly recommended.
