I've been waiting for this PC port since before the game came out on PS5 and overall it was definitely worth it.

The game can look really good when the poor optimization doesn't get in the way, combat is decent but it's the story, characters amd world-building that had me hooked.

One of the best RPGs ever made.

-Gameplay is intuitive. You get a lot of options when it comes to dealing with situations, but with how the game gives them to you as you progress through the story and level up you won't feel overwhelmed. It's especially fun to try and find new ways to deal with enemies and obstacles. Even if you're not familiar with D&D, you can still learn the mechanics easily enough and start slaying monsters before you know it. It does come with some of D&D frustrations but it also streamlines some of it's ideas too (short and long rests are far more usable and forgiving in BG3 for example.) If there was a video game that could help get people into D&D, this is definitely it.

-The story is really well thought out and there's so much attention to detail here that it blows my mind. Every single time you play the game, it can feel like a whole new adventure with so many options to choose from with every encounter It helps that most of the characters in this game (even some of the minor ones) are interesting and deep, or at least entertaining, especially your companions. There's also some top-notch voice acting going on here too.

-The music is beautiful. Case in point: there are some games I've spent less time with than the amount of time I spent in this game's character creator because of the song that plays. And you hear it throughout the game too.

Honestly, there's a ton more I would like to say but if I typed it out here, it would take you as long to read it as it takes to beat the game and I think we both know which is the better use of your time. :P All there is left to say is that this is not just a game, it's a statement to an industry that has become far too complacent and has allowed too many games to be released rushed out and in a sorry state. More devs need to take a page out of Larian's book.

Early Access Review
This is a game that will definitely take time to learn and even more time to master. It's a complex game but it can be all the more immersive once you get the hang of it especially with how much there is in this game. Plus, with everything that's going to be added in the future I'm looking forward to this game getting even better.

Good:
-Character customization in this game is done in a unique and innovative way. It adds a whole new level to how you desgn your character and makes you think because things like body type determines how many points you have to spend in each skill category.
-Graphics look good. Not revolutionary but adequate. If you have them set up really high you may occasionally experience a lag spike as the landscape loads but this doesn't happen often.
-I've encountered a few bugs but nothing game-breaking or even serious. (Note: Other people may have encountered worse bugs and I simply haven't so take this with a grain of salt.)
-Gameplay is similar to games like Rust but way more complex. However, most people will most likely get the hang of it after a couple of hours and once they do, it can be pretty enjoyable and makes the game really immersive especially as far as survival games go. Also, the game can be played as a battle-royal type game if people prefer that. Plenty of room for co-op and pvp gameplay.
-Performance: As far as my experience goes, this game doesn't seem to have many performance issues. I didn't really have any lag except for the instances mentioned above.

Bad:
-Bugs: Like I mentioned, there are still bugs in the game but this is expected from an early-access game. While none were serious, one I would like to mention is that when I jumped through a window I was unable to run anywhere. I was stuck in place. However, logging out of the server and then logging back in fixed the issue.
-As mentioned before, the gameplay can be pretty complex. However, this is made worse by the fact that there is no tutorials or in-game hints/guides. This means that you will need to spend some time reading guides and hopefully getting help from other players (if you can find any willing to help) or simply go through trial and error.
-The map isn't the biggest in gaming history but it is quite large and traversing it on foot can take a long time. If there is somewhere you want to go to and it's on the other side of the map you will be running over for a LOOOOOOOONG time. Unless you can find a car of course.
-Inventory system doesn't make a lot of sense for certain items. If you have enough personal storage you can stuff multiple guns in your bag but things like needles and rags don't stack. You can "craft" a bundle of rags to make it save storage but what is the point of that? Why can't small items like that just stack? I think they need to fiddle around with this part of the game a bit more.

I'll update this whenever necessary (if I remember) as I'm sure things will change quite a bit over time. Overall, I'm happy with what I've seen and I think this game has a lot of potential.

This is not like most shooters that you'll play in your life. This is a legitimate military simulation kind of game. It's about as close to being a soldier as you can get, without actually joining your country's armed forces.

This is will both impress you and annoy the hell out of you.

Good:
-Graphics: The game looks great. This is necessary for a good simulation game and the game does it well. Everything from the environments and models to the random props lying on the ground look very well detailed.
-Gameplay: Like I said, this game is meant to simulate actual military life. This means a lot of detail went into how the game is played. I could spend a while explaining how but it would pale in comparison to you actually checking it out yourself. Basically, it's about as realistic as you can get and is unlike other shooter games such as......well, almost all of them actually. For that very reason, however, you might find yourself getting really frustrated. (Hence, my statement earlier.) Multiplayer is a lot of fun as well and there's a ton of oppurtunity here for horseplay, roleplaying, etc.
-Mods: Mods are good. Nuff' said.

BAD:
-Frustration Factor: Again, this game will most likely frustrate you a lot, especially if you haven't played it much so watch out for that.

Overall, despite the frustration, I definitely think the game is worth it (especially when playing multiplayer) and if you;re looking for something that stands out in this hilariously oversaturated genre of gaming then you should consider getting this game.

Despite its age, this shooter has not lost its appeal and is still one of the best shooting games of all time.
