A very easy contender for GOAT. Very easily in my top ranking, if not at the top.

There is no game, film or book that has ever hit me as hard as this. You will grow close to the gang, embody Arthur's journey and slowly watch his character arc unravel into something that will utterly break and change you. It will make you think about yourself, your own time on this Earth and whether your actions are the right ones.

It's a story that follows themes of sin, guilt, redemption (duh!), reflection, loyalty and the ever present changing times. It takes all the strengths of games and utilizes them to tell a story that fully immerses you into the world.

There is nothing else like this on the market and for many years to come, I think. You absolutely owe it to yourself to play it, and if the enormous amount of reviews saying the same thing don't convince you, I don't know what will. Maybe a good clock to the jaw in a bar.

This is, without question, the best AG racer out there and probably my favourite racer. It capitalizes on the best aspects of the genre and expands upon it to make a content rich, intense, highly rewarding game with a very sharp skill ceiling that reaches the sky.

What I particularly like about this game is the fact that it's also visually and aurally pleasing while remaining very readable and without distraction. I'm a fan of Redout, but in contrast to this title, the developers over saturated the tracks with a plethora of special effects that effectively blind you and put you in a position of relying more on muscle memory from repetition to get through some tracks. It's frustrating because despite this, Redout is very good.

Ballistic is slick and unbelievably tight in design. Everything is very visible, beautiful and sounds amazing. It ensures that most errors in the game are your own and it's a case of improving until you get it right, rather than getting used to being knocked out by visual noise while retaining good muscle memory.

I love this game. If you want an AG racer, this is the one to get.

It's about damn time we get a Super Stardust-like arcade game on Steam. ABOUT DAMN TIME.

Wishlisted, demo is tight and excellent.

Single player open world Q3 CPMA.

That's the game. If you understood that, buy it. If you didn't, buy it.

VERY good.

I bought this expecting a fun exploration game with fun things to do (and it has these things in spades), but what I got was an incredible, existential journey into the infinite and a search for God, meaning and friends lost in a cosmos of endless mystery, terror, darkness and beauty.

"Existence is beautiful if you let it be. Life is not a question. There does not need to be an answer."

This is one of the all time greats and an amazing comeback story for Hello Games. A must play.

Absolutely fantastic game. Inspiring art, wonderful animation and a nice, linear progression that is carried by a story that picks up a lot of steam by the end. The platforming is overall very good with a nice flow state when you get used to it and the combat is satisfying and punchy.

It ends on a cliffhanger and with a unexpected twist that hit some feels for me. Looking forward to a sequel for sure.

And yeah the soundtrack is great.

You bet the guy with the Kain profile pic is going to thumbs this up.

There's a LOT to say about this series for me. Simply put, both Kain and Raziel as characters were crucial to my development in my youth for many reasons - I would not be the person I am now without them. The story was the first introduction I had to philosophy, with the first game exposing me to the motivating power of righteous indignation, and the second completely dismantling that idea and revealing the danger of naivety and not questioning your premises. This series has influenced me in my mannerisms, speech, method of thinking and artistic creativity. You can damn well bet I backed a lot of the upcoming projects without a second thought, too.

It's a series that challenges your idea of what "good" is, and what your choices truly are. You ARE Raziel. You will go through the same anger, confusion and despair that he will go through, but in the end you will make a choice of your own if you have the will to see it through. Soul Reaver 2 will leave you shattered and confused by the end. If you have played Blood Omen 1, there will also be some realisations by the final act of SR2 that will blow you away. I wish I could see every new players reaction to all of this. I can never experience these games for the first time again, but I can take joy in the fact that many others can.

There's a lot more I can say but I don't want to spoil anything for newcomers to the series. It is the best story ever told in video gaming - there is simply no equal in terms of scope, complexity and engagement, and I am so happy to see it return.

A massive, massive thank you to Raina Audron, the fan community, Saber, Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics for bringing this series back to life - this is a fantastic remaster and exactly what I had hoped for.

And of course a huge thank you to Amy Hennig and her team that put all of this together back in the 90's.

Not much else to say. To the new fans: enjoy. You're in for something special.

"Raziel. Redeemer and destroyer. Pawn and messiah. Welcome, time-spanned soul. Welcome, to your destiny."

It's SO GOOD.

This game taps into a flow state that is pretty hard to come by. Controlling two characters at the same time and coordinating your movement to attack enemies is both challenging and utterly mesmerising. The rhythm of the music syncs with your attacks, so there's this awesome tempo you move to that makes this feel almost like REZ from the PS2 days.

Awesome, awesome game. Not for dumb people. You're either going to adapt to this and love it, or you'll hate it because its dexterity requirements are too high. Either way, it is a very well made, sick game.

Great game well worth its price and some. It has a fun, effective gameplay loop that makes sense, progresses smoothly and teaches you how to play in a very intuitive way. It has very nice art, good music and a surprisingly interesting lore to it.

If you play the base then DLC, you're in for a nice progression system and the DLC adds tools which can really enhance mining speed and combat by quite a bit if used correctly. Some complaints seem to be that mining is nearly impossible, but I suspect many of those players didn't take the mining suit, bombs or other gadgets very seriously.

I'd really like to see more content and expansion on the world in the future, there's a lot of great potential there.
