TL;DR: a fun game for Elder Scrolls lore and casual play

Very inconvenient and confusing business model, to gain full access to all areas that even the Expansion bundles don't grant access to you can purchase the DLC areas (DLC are group dungeons with most including a DLC overland area) through the mostly overpriced store or subscribe for access along with other convenience benefits. There is also the option of trading in-game gold to others that have access to gifting but at your own risk.

Monetization aside...
Cons:
Overland and Normal difficulty for low man content is very easy
Quite a few invisible walls
The jumping physics are worse than Skyrim's
Graphics are dated for old content
DLSS and FSR implementations are outdated
Terrible combat balance (PvE)

The first half wasn't anything exciting and neither is the first part of the big event. We have to suffer a month of typical incursion content to unlock the rest of the map, only recommended at a big discount. The only good thing is the DLC group dungeons are included in this year's Expansion except that the Premium edition, which also includes the previous Expansions, does not include the previous DLC group dungeons/areas along with not having a Collector's Edition that includes lots of cosmetics of the previous years.

A Unity game that certainly looks like a Unity game even though they supposedly changed the graphics to rely less on store assets. The biggest issue is how unfinished and unpolished it is; gear in the same armor type mostly look the same right now and there isn't anything unique as it seems to all be mostly stat increases. It is amusing if you're into the slower style of MMOs like Everquest and Final Fantasy XI (which was essentially a Japanese Everquest-lite for consoles).

I bought this to help kill Chaos.

One of the boring Korean MMO designs: theme park stuff, old server tech, equipment tiers all look the same unless you get some cosmetics from the Cash shop, and also wasted pretty graphics on isometric look

Buy it on sale.

Cons
-No Co-op
-Chromatic Aberration in cutscenes. Mod recommended to disable.
-Some graphics option bugs, 21:9 not natively supported and 4K needed a workaround to work
-Very linear, no overworld
-Lots of systems locked behind story progression, don't bother grinding/farming until later
-Tons of optional DLC but some have Titles locked behind them which means paywalled Artes and Skills; PC is also missing some console DLC
-Anime as ****

Update: Finished the game, no Grade Shop.

BG2 with quite a few quality of life stuff but some can make the game feel easier such as bigger ammo and potion stacks. A good cRPG but some enemies don't exactly follow DnD rules.

Enhanced Edition looks very nice but the damn thing never starts up at proper 4K resolution.

Easiest way to play on PC, the Japanese version isn't difficult to set up either but patches will need to be updated every often. The global version is still missing voice tickets and some weapons that used an outdated leveling system were removed but it has gotten some exclusive stuff. Some items were also moved to an untradable FOMO shop so not everything is as easy to buy as in the Japanese version. It's not PSO1 but it's still a good combat online game even if we're powercreeped a ton at the moment.
