We thorougly contemplated a lot of reviews and they said the game is good.

We trusted them.

A lot of flies like the taste of dogsh*t. We wouldn't have trusted them either.

This is not what I paid for. Story censored for console release and graphics have been downgraded.

I feel scammed.

VOID Interactive is a meme. Do not buy this.

Ever wanted to play Rainbow Six: Siege like really, really bad? But at the same time you couldn't afford a PC?

Worry no longer! Finally, Rainbow Six: Siege mobile edition is available on Steam. The gameplay is bad, the visuals are bad, the fun is bad, but at least it's Rainbow Six: Siege for mobile! Nice!

Negative reviews explained:

-"Combat is bad"
Combat feels just as smooth as it did in Last Oasis. If there is anybody complaining about that - it's likely they don't like being punished for just brainlessly smashing random buttons, because this game will punish you hard for that.

-"graphics suck"
the visuals in this game are actually fine, they're not gonna revolutionize the genre but they are better than lots of other titles in the genre.

-"AI voice acting is bad"
Games like Bannerlord have no voice acting at all, so I don't really mind the AI. If you can't stand AI voice acting better play something else. It's pretty subtle though, I didn't notice it until after a couple dialogues.

-"I have performance issues even though my PC is from space in the future"
No. I am literally playing this on a 2018 machine with a 2070rtx and I don't have any performance issues whatsoever. If you experience performance issues it's probably time to spend your money on new hardware instead of new releases.

-"Devs abandoned some other game"
To be fair, Last Oasis wasn't abandoned. In fact, they are still releasing updates for that - even though it's pretty much a dead game with 80 concurrent players on steam charts at this time. Anyways, I don't really understand what this has to do with anything.

TLDR:
The game is pretty much a mashup of Medieval Dynasty and M&B Bannerlord. You decide if you'd enjoy that. If you don't, the game is probably not for you. I think it's a decent game, but at this point in time it's not overly polished (yet?). I've definitely played worse EA titles before, I'd say it's one of the more polished EA titles out there. At this price point it's fine to give it a go.

The name is a bit misleading. "Shelf re-stock simulator" would be more accurate. Because that's all you're gonna be doing after a couple of hours. Granted, the first 1-2 hours are fun and feel fresh, everything after you hire your first cashier is literally just running around with boxes restocking shelves.

Just to make this very clear: you literally do NOTHING else than restock shelves. NOTHING. You keep running from the parking lot to different shelves and that's all there is to the "endgame", which you will find yourself in after literally 1-2 hours. Until there is some bot added to the game, who does the restocking of shelves, the game is unplayable like. The reviews are certainly not justified considering the 1-2h of content before it all gets so mind numbingly boring that i'd rather go work in a nearby supermarket and earn minimum wage for getting spat at by angry customers than keep playing this unpolished pile of dogsheet.

To elaborate a bit on the general gameplay cycle: The farther you get, the bigger your store becomes, the more shelves you get, the more shelves you have to solo restock every morning before you open up. At this point in the game I hated restocking so much that I literally bought enough shelves to have 3 slots for each type of inventory item. Guess what: buying more shelves doesn't make the problem go away, it makes it worse! So now I restock my 3 shelf slots of pasta, meaning 3 boxes of pasta, each containing 8 small spaghetti boxes that end up on the shelf, and they don't even make it half way through the day until the market is out of product. So you'll have to re-order more spaghetti during the day with 100 customers in the store and literally rush to the shelves 24/7 to restock spaghetti and salmon and apple juice and cleaner and w/e you can think of. It is literally the most stress inducing experience I ever made in a game and I had to stop because I started feeling really sick and numb. I already made appointments for burnout treatment because this garbage game left me mentally unstable.

TLDR: DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP UNTIL IT HAS MORE CONTENT THAN 1 HOUR (everything past the 1 hour mark is literally just filler content that's not meant to be played yet because there are no NPCS doing restocking of shelves so you're basically playing amazon warehouse worker sim at this point, featuring all the negative consequences of that)

The only pro of this game is that it is now finally possible to get burnout without earning any actual money in the process. Nice.

This 10-minute troll game actually contains more polished content than most triple A games and its completely free.

To make this absolutely clear: if we translate this on any AAA game that has been released this year, you would actually have to get paid for playing it to have an equally cost efficient experience.

I recommend you to buy The Forest instead of this unpolished boring walking sim.

You can thank me later.
