Beautiful game, really brings the characters of disc one to life, and it works to give them more depth as well. However, as an adaptation so much is straight up changed from OG FF 7 that it becomes unrecognizable at points. As for the combat, it reverses the time mechanic that OG had and opts for a slower play style which is a weird change imo. The highs are decently high but the lows are terribly low.

• Fluff adds time to get to know the characters, and those scenes are peak fiction.
  
• The music is spectacular.
  
• World building is very good as it likes to tell rather than show.
  
• The game has alot of upgrades and introduces new ways to get summons which is nice and pretty refreshing as its tied to combat (if you like the combat lol)
  
• Visually stunning.
  
  
  Cons:
• Changes the narrative sequence of the original to a point where it is unrecognizable at points.
  
• The game loves to tell rather than show lol.
  
• The pacing of the game is bad but excusable since it is only the first of a trilogy to tell the ff7 story.
  
• The side quests are downright boring to do. Sure some of them can be interesting but most of the time just feel like extra padding that does not actually get you anything. That being said if you like having a lot of side quests to do this game is perfect.
  
• The reversal of the OG ff7's combat mechanics. The game slows down combat by pausing every time you want to use an ability/item/summon/etc, which is the complete opposite of OG FF7's time mechanic which kept you on your toes and didn't allow for breaks in combat. Not to mention that to even use abilities and such you have to build up enough ATB meter which slows down the combat even further. (This is a highly opinionated point because changes had to be made considering the genre switch from OG ff7 so take with a grain of salt)
  
  All in all the game is a decent experience that really gives you time to bond with the characters and enjoy the world building, even if there's a lot of questionable changes made to differentiate this from the original FF 7. Great way to get introduced the story if you haven't played the original because its wayyyy more approachable. Can be annoying but also refreshing at times for someone who's played OG.
  Strong 2/4 to light 3/4 Game in my humble opinion.

One could say, Im a big fan. Hella replayable and fun to screw with friends at night in. Game is only fun with friends. If you're looking for coop horror. glhf

Great game, exploring this game good

Great calm space exploration game, if you have nothing else to do this is a calm game to play. From figuring out how to survive on other planets to solving the mystery of the solar system, Astroneer is a great experience

***buy the game on CDkeys or when its on sale, its a fun game for a while and much more with friends.
