Tell Me Why has everything I love in a DONTNOD game. LGBT representation, gorgeous graphics, detailed environmental storytelling, choice-based gameplay, magical realism, well-picked licensed songs, emotional moments that make me cry. This game was just beautiful.

The novelty of this game wears off fairly quickly. The concept of tapping into your local weather data is interesting, but ultimately there isn't much substance to this. The dev has said that his motivation behind creating this game was to make something calming, so I guess you could call it that, but mainly it's just dull.

I am ridiculously in love with Crashlands. It's smart, charming, and highly addictive. Everything you love about crafting in games has been made more convenient, and everything you love about dialogue in RPGs has been made more punny. Seriously, just play this game. You'll probably think it's rad too.

There was not a single thing I liked about this game. The camera movement is jerky due to high mouse sensitivity, most of the audio is totally grating, the controls are awkward, and many actions are automated (such as jumping and climbing) so you feel limited. The guidance during gameplay is unbalanced, with too much at times and none at all others. But probably the worst thing is the health system. Though it claims you have a health bar and that after so many hits you die, when you take any damage at all, you respawn back at the last checkpoint. This makes progression maddening in certain areas. Even after fiddling with the settings and switching to a controller, any improvement was minimal at best. It definitely isn't worth full price; when I bought it, it was on sale for $5, but it isn't worth even that.

One of the most charming little games I've had the pleasure of playing. But it's also heartbreaking. I definitely cried... a few times.
