Balatro trained me well on poker odds, so I’m happy to say that this is still fun all these years after the original release.

If you like poker, but don't want to feel terrible gambling your money away, this is cool! Plus you get to play against Heavy Weapons Guy and a cast of other extremely 2010 characters.

Perhaps the best spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead . I'm not even a Warhammer fan, but this game is a blast with friends.

As it stands this is NOT the best Battlefield game, but what Dice & the rest of the Studios behind it have created here is admirable. If you've liked another battlefield game, you'll like this one. Despite some flaws, l'm looking forward to see how the Battlefield studios can expand on the foundation that they have built.

Do yourself a favor and ignore the horrendous and clearly half-baked monetization of this game.

It's really not for everybody, but RWS has created an incredibly unique and self assured shooter. A monument to trashy bush-era political jokes and bad taste. Has a flavor like nothing else.

Dear Esther is a great concise walking simulator, and one of my favorites of the genre. I've been slowly gathering my thoughts for years as it has stuck in my mind.

The setting is beautiful. Grass sweeps in the wind, waves crash against rocks, moonlight settles gracefully over the sea.
The audio too does a lot to sell the game and its premise, the narrator is smooth and is enjoyable to hear, like a good podcast.

If you can accept its slower pace, or have been turned off by walking sims in the past, this one is well stuck into to genre convention. Yet, by keeping it concise, it didn't overstay its welcome for me, and left with a lasting positive impression.

What Warhorse Studios did here is legitimately wonderful, and they have quickly risen to become one of my favorite game studios working.

If you like first-person adventure games, Bethesda's skyrim being the obvious comparison, you'll probably like this. Beware though that this game will put you through your paces. When you start, you are some no name dude and you will get treated like it, anyone with a sword, or worse, chainmail, will smoke you on sight.
But eventually you get your own nice armor and become a tough as nails knight who can take big hits, and more importantly dish them back out .

Early Access Review
Really fun in its current state, but a little limited. More is to come though, so pick it up now and come along for the ride.

This game is a genuine stealth-genre classic at this point. The successor to Thief, so good that Thief itself was unsuccessfully rebooted to try to capitalize on the success of this game.

The art direction in this game is immaculate, and beautifully grotesque at times. Corpses are ripped to shreds by rats in a damp gutter, sailors bring in the days catch through a series of smelly harbors and lochs, the sun creeps through the shudders of a building condemned by a plague. Its all very striking as a whole package, and speaks to the strength of vision that Arkane had in the games's development.

Movement, and combat specifically can feel a bit clunky at first, until you unlock the number of speed and teleportation upgrades (known in this game as "blink"). Your sword's damage leaves a little to be desired, and its easy to find yourself overwhelmed when one guard calls his comrades to smoke you out. Stealth is really the name of the game, and while at times outright violence is the only option, its best to stay hidden in the shadows and try to weigh the games extensive set of tools against the unwashed masses of Dunwall city watch.

This game came out at a time when every mainstream game needed to have some sort of "karma " system, and the one featured here is certainly provocative, if not revolutionary. The more "Chaos" you cause, the harder the game becomes and the more enemies you encounter. Think shooting stabbing, blowing up, setting on fire, eviscerating in a laser gate, and as previously mentioned, sending hordes of plague rats after you enemies as things that are suitably "chaotic".

In short, this game is great, it has aged like fine wine, and it is certainly worth the cost of the game & its 2 expansions (Brigmore witches & Knife of Dunwall) to play. If you're looking for a good stealth action game, look no further.

My favorite of the series, the addition of some physics objects makes it a lot more fun sometimes. Watching paint cans and casings fly around a room as you jump slide and dodge through a combat encounter.

I feel like people don't play this one as much with it being the middle of the trilogy but its so worth your time.

Honestly a lot of fun if you can get past some of the dated jokes. The grenade launcher in this game is up there for me with some of the best weapons in FPS history.

This one is sort of the odd one out of the big 3 build engine games but this remaster works beautifully and I had a lot of fun playing. Absolutely worth a shot.
