gudo game love it

Bought this game a long time ago at full price of 60 dollars after watching the trailer and being really hyped for it. I played an hour and it was buggy and trash, the end.

I haven't completley finished this game, I think more than halfway, but I think I've basically seen it all. If you can buy it on sale, its probably worth it.

It has a suprisingly good story with some funny moments and dialogue. The gunplay is okay, but not really what you should be expecting to stand out in this kind of detective game. The detective part of the game though... wow it really makes me feel like a detective. Finding all the clues at a crime scene or place you're investigating can be a chore at times and trying to correctly read the clues to find the right conversation choice to make can be unintuitive... but it's still pretty good.

However after I got about halfway through the game the novelty started wearing thin and things started to become a bit same-y. The missions all essentially follow this sequence:
1. Get a mission assigned
2. Go to the crime scene
3. Search the crime scene
4. Talk to some people
5. Talk to some more people
6. Arrest somebody
7. Interrogate them

I might finish it someday, but I don't feel there were enough overarching plot twists to keep the game interesting enough to keep playing.

terrible game, absoutley punishing and merciless to beginners and there is no help for you. also lots of overpowered classes where unless youre playing one and know how to counter the others you just get bodied every game.

horrible game design if you play it somewhat casually, there are still heroes in the game in 2018 that completley stomp you if you dont explicitly pick to counter them.

play captains mode or dont play at all.

shallow story, no character development. the concept of progression is limited to AMMO BAGS and seems like it was a last minute thing shoehorned in. theres no real reason not to go into everything guns blazing even if you have the option of using 'stealth' and gameplay is extremley repetitive with go to x location on your map and clear your generic bad guys out ad nausaem

Can't even play the game, it crashes after I get to a loading screen.
