incredibly fun singleplayer game with tons of replayability (in fact, you need to complete the game thrice to get everything), awesome storytelling and worldbuilding, cool characters even if you just meet them once or twice. the quintessential modern equivalent of an old school armored core game

multiplayer? it's alright, and like any other multiplayer game, there will be a meta, so expect to be at disadvantage if you're avoiding it. but it's not completely impossible!

i personally have had way more time on the multiplayer than the singleplayer myself and it's been super fun if you take it casually and lurk in lower ranks, or as an alternative (albeit not very consistent), you could play custom matches, where it's mostly hosted by a wide range of people. sometimes there's even fight clubs happening!

i've met a ton of cool people, played with cool people, and made some close friends through customs myself, but i've heard some accounts from a few friends that they have received some form of harassment one way or another. which is very unfortunate

i believe it's got something to do with elitism, but i digress. just keep yourself a bit distanced from the competitive community, and you should be fine. but as a single player game it's 100% worth it in my experience

p.s. there's also an extremely polished co-op mod there that's super easy to set up and i highly HIGHLY recommend it
