Fun RTS game bringing back a faithful "Command and Conquer" experience. Some cheesy characters and a campaign plot with familiar vibes, help set up missions for the mad scramble as you bounce between objectives. Really great balance of units and abilities give several options on play-style and choices of how to complete missions. The combination of resource gathering, base-building and combat is spot on. Technically the game is solid. (Apart from an issue with the game crashing when you continue the next mission in a campaign, frustratingly forcing you to reload the whole game.) The graphics are brilliant and so is performance. Really nice lighting and sound effects plus a great soundtrack. Only played the Tempest Dynasty campaign so far, but will be back to try the GDF campaign.

I bought the original game on the 26th Dec 2008 during a Steam sale and it has remained unplayed in Steam library until now. What a fool I've been! Bioshock is pure brilliance. A timeless classic. Unforgettable story of the highest quality. Superb world design. Refined game mechanics. Truly a game everyone should play. Just take your time so explore as much of the world and backstory as you can.
