To be completely frank with you, I believe the game itself, at its bare-bones, with a little polish, could be one of the best games ever made. The only problem is 2/4 of your teammates are awful and toxic every game, matchmaking is terrible, there is no anti-cheat, and if you have anything that someone can bully you with in your profile, be certain its going to happen the moment you open your mouth in an annoying ratio of games.

If you listened to everything else I said, and you still want to play, their are of course ways you can mitigate the problems, but not without introducing new ones. FACEIT, for instance, fixes the anti-cheat and moderation problems, but introduces the new problem of inaccessibility, poorly designed software and website design, and other issues. But in the end, it is the superior experience to standard Counter Strike 2 matchmaking, premier or competitive if you are even reasonably serious about the game.

If valve fixed the two primary problems with matchmaking, which, in my opinion, are moderation and anti-cheat, more specifically anti-cheat, then I think we would have a great standalone product, but as it stands, I don't recommend getting deeply invested unless you are willing to use FACEIT and bare the consequences of its anti-cheat system.

I wouldn't recommend it to other players in its current state though. It is utterly inaccessible to those who are interested and those who want to be, and consistently decides to be out-competed by third-party companies in running the matchmaking and anti-cheat for their own game, and it is honestly quite pathetic. If Valve doesn't improve their anti-cheat and moderation system in the next couple of years, and it hurts me to say, it wouldn't surprise me that the decline of this game started in a serious way.

Edit: the fact the the moderation on this game is still so terrible goes to show that valve does not care about you at all, unless you're literally

list of people that feel most comfortable in an average counter strike lobby:
- racists
- homophobes
- your worst uncle
- people who need an outlet to express their hatred, and feel comfortable doing so.
- men
- people who want to become more hateful in general

dont play this game if you want to continue being a normal well adjusted person
