I am now paying a subscription fee and cannot find a way to get rid of it / I Had to pay $11.46 to play a game I bought on the 27th of December and just got charged another $14.36 on the 28th of December. Do not "Buy" this "Free to Play" Game.
This is the worst experience I have ever had on Steam. I wanted to play a single Board game that I could not play without a subscription. I did not know that it was a subscription- I have never had nor would I knowingly get one., So I was foolish enough to think that I wasn't being tricked into getting a subscription.
I had the game 1 day and payed 2 months subscription. So if you like subscriptions - buy it on the 1st or you'll get dinged again on the 29th. What a horrible way to treat a customer.
I am really pissed off at steam for allowing this kind of extortion on their platform.
BOOOO!

So far I like this ruleset, I've begun to learn about Traveller and I prefer this ruleset on P.C to the actual hard cover copy. The few questions or problems I had were quickly dealt with in the Traveller Forums by the guy who has developed and maintains this ruleset. I think this ruleset is fairly easy to use and is getting better all the time.
I really like Traveller as an RPG , it is very flexible in the sort of RPG adventure you can have. I can recommend the RPG Traveller as an addition to your RPG Repetoir as it is very different to D-20 type games. And I can recommend this ruleset in Fantasy Grounds based on the usability of the ruleset and the support from the developer, and the community at the Fantasy Grounds Forums.

It adds some useful content to the Sandpoint setting. My complaint is that the content is wrapped up in the "Reference Material" so that you can't reference the material or change it the way you can with other modules you can buy. It's hard to describe what I mean. There is no "Story" content so you can't make a copy and add your own notes or links . The "story" parts are locked up in the "Reference" material. So It's hard to add this content to the "Runelords" adventure path or any other content set in this area. I hope this isn't a trend, the power of Fantasy Grounds (for me) is being able to link content and modify it as I wish - like I would with the physical material with the bonus of being able to edit and manipulate everything with links. This content is not easily customizable you cannot easily reference the material from a different module. For example the Rusty Dragon floor plans and story elements are not linkable from Rise of the Runelords easily - the map is not in "Images" you have to find it in the reference material then add the link. The "story" part is in the "Reference" material not in the "Story" material and cannot be modified - it you don't like the dialog material too bad you're going to have to write out everything yourself.

It spawns more Barbarians than I can spawn warriors. And they have higher teck like horses and mounted archers while my warrior still have clubs. Since they are more productive than my civilization - I think maybe I'm the barbarian. If you make lots of warriors other civs will be in the industrial Era while you still are pre classical - if , of course , another civ doesn't take you out for being weak.
If you like to lose and be attacked constantly by an AI that responds in the most unreasonably vindictive way - this will be the personal hell you''ve been waiting for. Look no further.

Early Access Review
At first I was very disappointed that I couldn't play on a local Lan , and was supprised that the lack of local Lan support was not mentioned. But there is a simple dedicated srver that works perfectly. My internet connection is supposed to be fast - but cannot support 3 players trying to communicate with a remote server without serious rubber- band issues.

Once that hurtle was crossed we were treated to a new and improved killing floor experience. The graphics and effects are stunning. The guns very satisfying to use they feel powerful and effective , and yet at the same time the hoard advances in a chilling gorefest . Its an amazing balance of personal power against the hopelessness of tthe quest . It should be frustrating - but its not .

The game is quite challenging - so victories are very rewarding .And yet defeat often feals victorious because the gameplay feels so heroic that as the player is overwhelmed he /she does not feel deprived of agency . It is a real tribute to the ability of the developer to keep that balance in the play.

We were impressed with the balancing of the perks and abilities - it feels much more natural in the progression - leaving much to return and play to recieve the benifits . And the zombies have so many surprises for you - the way they move and tactics vary in a way that keeps the game fresh and interesting.

Really beautiful world! Great story. If you are looking for a traditional game you might be disappointed though. This is more of an experience than a game , if you like a good story and a fantasy setting and are open to new experiences then most likely you will like this one. I have never played anything like this before so I appreciate its stepping out into new territory for gameing.

It kind of reminds me of fairy tails told to me for the first time as a kid - so mysterious , captivating , new and wonderful . - like I said you must be open minded about the experience - Its not anything like Call Of Duty . So the best description I can provide is: it is like a childs fairy tale in game format and if you play along it go with the fun and fantasy it will be an amazing ride.

This game is the reason I will not do any early access again. There is nothing to do - that I could find. New stuff added all the time - but nothing finished. Look to other reviewers who have more time in - I found nothing to do each time I played - so not much time in.
