Game is good but needs DLC to be feel "complete" in terms of units and progression, for e.g the Skaven miss their Ratling Gunner and Warplock Jezzail units, which are locked behind DLC, the High Elves have no Tier 4 or 5 archer unit with armor piercing, the Lizardmen are very melee heavy without DLC.

The only "complete" factions are Dark Elves, Brettonia( Repanse de Lyonesse Free DLC ), Lizardmen( if you like heavy melee only factions ) and Dwarves( Thorek Ironbrow, Free DLC ).

In addition in the basegame you can only play the "Eye of the Vortex" story-based campaign, the Mortal Empires campaign which is a sandbox needs you to own TW Warhammer 1.

If anyone's buying this, I recommend you buy it during sale with all the DLCs for the factions you plan on playing, since the DLCs add A LOT to the fun and enjoyment of this game.

So this probably the first and hopefully not the last outing of the MH series on consoles and PC, and it is a decent Monster Hunter game, although not the best, and whether it will be palatable to non-MH players depends on whether they like the gameplay loop of kill monsters->farm parts-> make weapons and armor from parts-> kill tougher monsters.

Graphics are the best for a Monster Hunter game, and are good enough for a game from 2018, the models of the large monsters are very well detailed, with claws, shell, scales and horns all textured well.

Gameplay has improved compared to previous titles, with large maps and no loading screens between the numbered zones, more verticality and movement options than before and around 14 different weapon types with their own playstyle of which 3 are ranged weapons with their own specific mechanics.

Multiplayer is a blast provided you can find enough people, even randoms know how to play since ~3 years after release.

My gripes with this game include the retarded weapon upgrade tree, which has only two main trees, ore and bone, which also impacts the look of the weapons, making a large chunk of weapons in this game look very similar to each other, the other problem is that of monster variety, nearly all of the monsters in the game are some kind of flying wyvern, dragon or t-rex/raptor type dinosaur, compared to earlier games that had apes, giant crabs and even bear and mammoth type enemies

All in all a good game, with an active online community even after 3 years.

The Good
- Variety in combat, with strength/greatsword "warrior" builds, DPS oriented Dexterity builds or Magic based builds or even a combination of these.
- Deep gameplay
- Fashion Souls
- Beautiful Levels/Areas
- Fume UGS wrecks bosses even after the nerf.
The Bad
- Mostly cheap bosses
- Over-Leveled Pricks invading your game.

Overall 10/10, prepare to die, finger but hole etc etc

They abandoned this game after destroying it

The only salvation for this trainwreck were the promised DLCs and new races,but none of that will happen now.

Dota 2 is like drugs.Stay away.
