This game is mildly fun, however, the loot box mechanics and massive amount of paid DLC completely ruin what little fun there is to the game. I agree with others that I wish we could return to the bygone era where when you purchase a game you don't need to go and pay real world money for the items you really wanted. It used to be that you would unlock parts of the game just by playing the game and completing specific tasks or levels. Now you either pay money for the DLC or spend hours grinding fake money to purchase loot boxes for a chance to get what you wanted.

If this hadn't been part of the Humble Bundle I would have never bothered purchasing this game.

I'm sorry to say that this game is bad enough that I had to post my first ever review on Steam.

On first purchase this game was completely unplayable. I would reach the login screen create a character and then... nothing. The game was stuck at the login screen.

Gave it a few months, hopped on again, same issue.

Gave it another few months, logged in today and I was finally be able to login and play. Logged in to find Star Wars Galaxies assets, sounds and menus throughout game. This is an obvious attempt to rip off veteran SWG gamers looking for their new home. I don't know how this game hasn't been pulled off of steam...

Do yourself a favor and avoid this game at all costs.
