I just finished the game.
Boy, Youtube did not lie! All those people recommending it are spot on.
Thats why I am recommending it, too. After less than two hours. How did that happen?

It happend because the Game is THAT good!
I enjoyed every single minute of it.
Some People would propably call this Synthpop Symphonia Thumber , but I do not know who these people are.

"But Cookie..." I hear you say "...why should I pay ten Bucks for a game I am only gonna play for about an hour?"
To those people I say:

Sayonara Wild Hearts is not simply a game, its a Synthpop Concert, a really good Movie AND an incredible Game!
It is fast paced, while only rarely loosing the flow. For example during switching levels. But even those breaks are entertaining, as the Narrator announces each new level. And the Narrator is SPOT. ON.
Her voice fits the whole setting incredible well.

The most impactful levels are clearly the Bossfights. My favourites are (Spoiler Free!)

You can see, that the Bossfights aree the Heart of "Wild Hearts" as they are practically crystalized entertainment!

I NEVER had such a BIG, FAT Smile on my face whilst playing Video games!


I cannot currently comment on the replayability of the levesl, but I know that this was one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had!
I would even go as far as to say it was THE BEST.

But I cannot.

Because the game is simply too short.
Yes, there are a bunch of Puzzles and a "Speedrun Mode" and there is a huge skill ceiling, wich I have not even reached.
But because there are not enough levels to fully satisfy me, this game falls short of my personal "GotY".

But that CANNOT mean it is not worth the money?
It is worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY. You pay for this game.

Because its like a Tetris Effect Racing game.
So I even think this game would be incredible in VR!


To close my Review:
"Sayonara Wild Hearts is a must have for every Steam libary. Enjoy it with the best Audio system you can find and you will have one of the best experineces in your Gaming Life! The levels are fast pace and have a really good flow most of the time. Its simple yet challenging.
But be aware, that you will develop an emotional connection/addiction to Synthpop afterwards, even if you have never heard of this Genre! Go play NOW! - 9/10"
